Chapter 1 - chapter 1

Chapter 1

"The Mariana Trench is the deepest known oceanic trench globally, reaching a maximum known depth of about 100,070 feet (40,994 meters) at the Challenger Deep. For decades, no one has been able to dive to the deepest part of the ocean but from today, it wouldn't be so anymore.

Professor Davis has finally invented a mini diving ship capable of reaching the deepest part of the ocean and today will be the first day of it undergoing it's test."

This piece of news was able to cause commotion among the commoners as everyone would finally be able to know the type of monsters that existed deep in the deepest part of the oceans.

The constant change of numbers on the screen got most of the people dressed in lap clothes who were inside a room with computer screens, worried.

"Do you think those level 1 beasts wouldn't attack that ship?" One of the scientists asked as she watched the scene captured by the mini ship of a thousand meter long silhouette of a snake-like beast swimming past the ship.

"No, those high level beasts only attack if they sense a high level energy radiating from it which can threaten their lives."

"Yeah!!!"

Everyone screamed in excitement as soon as the ship finally made its way into the deepest part of the ocean. For the first time, humanity have finally reached the deepest part of the ocean!

This is a history in the making!

Meaning from now on, humanity can come and go in the deepest part of the sea for exploration.

With the pressure his ship was experiencing, Professor Davis decided to go back to the surface of the ocean least something goes wrong. Right then, a tentacle waves towards him and with a fast reflex, Davis controls the ship to dodge it, despite dodging, his ship mistakenly smashes into what he believes to be a chain.

Clank!

Not bothering to check what ever it was since he was panicking, Davis rushed the ship upward, a heavy clank echoed through the depths. Unseen by him, a massive chain, thick as a tree trunk, snapped free from the ocean floor, releasing a coffin bound in ancient runes.

Crack

Boom!

The coffin breaks apart and reveals a man with floating silver hair and a pale white skin that seems to lack blood making him looks dead since there was no single breath from his nose or mouth. Plus he was dressed in old ancient coats which further gives him the mediaeval gothic vibes.

Roar!

Right then a beast roar echoes in the sea as a thousand meter long snake like beast dash towards the corpse with its mouth wide open, exposing it's bloody fangs which were ready to swallow him.

As if sensing the beast killing intents, the man with his eyes still closed moved.

Without any fancy move, he casually swept his finger horizontal in a quick pace and a red thin blood line arc forward, slicing the beast apart making it to die before even reaching him, the blood from the beast didn't spread into the sea as they mysteriously condensed and was absorbed by the man finger, leaving behind a dried up snake body.

Calmly, his eyelids flutter and he finally open his eyes which were mysteriously red and looked at the beast silently before stretching his body gently.

Boom!

Unknowingly his action which seems normal has caused a heavy earthquake and tsunami in the surrounding area due to unrestrained strength affecting nature, making thousands of meters around the ocean to sink in and thousand of lives wasted or injured.

This will be an event that will be talked about for few years.

An event that will get the Earth Federation Counsels to invest their powers to investigate the source of this destruction.

****

After stretching his body, the man shot up and appeared in the sky with his black vampire wings unfolded.

Looking around, the man didn't even blink as he looked at the earthquake caused by him, instead he looked around and choose a certain location before shooting towards it at the speed of light, leaving behind blurs.

****

Soaring through the sky, his mind was clouded with confusion with what he kept seeing. Below, strange metallic beasts carried humans through paved roads, their wheels spinning fast like enchanted chariots but no matter how he tries to sense any magic from them, he failed making him wonder how they created such thing and lastly. Since when did humans roam freely instead of hiding in the dark?

He thought as he landed on a street corner and retracted his wings before stepping out.

""Mom, look! That man looks like he walked out of a history book." A twelve year old boy suddenly said as he pointed at him.

"Stop pointing at people, Mike. Let's quickly go check up on your dad who's in the hospital." The mother quickly berated the boy while secretly looking at Mordecai who was too enchanting.

Despite not understanding their words, Mordecai felt annoyed at how those lowly humans have the guts to point and even look at him.

Not even his General Commander or the twelve Grand Dukes under him dares look straight into his eyes.

Waving his hand towards them, a wave of strange reddish aura quickly surge out of his body in a blink of an eye covering those two, Mordecai turned them into ashes before they could even register what has happened, not even giving them the chance to scream or feel the pain,

"Villain! A villain is here!" A pregnant lady who was just coming out of a store opposite them instantly saw this and dropped her bag of cabbages as she screamed loudly. Further provoking Mordecai who saw how everyone were screaming with some running and others pointing at him. With a snort he clench his fist tightly, turning any human or living thing in the town which span over 9 kilometers into ashes with his sheer powerful telekinesis. It was like a magic, seeing humans disintegrating and leaving behind their houses, cars and even their computers on. The town which was once bustling with pedestrians walking back and forth now stood desolate, like a ghost town, a testament to the sheer powers of Mordecai.

"Though they be of lowly rank, their energy is rich and potent, able to restore my powers somewhat. This shows they have grown stronger, for in times past, their blood could only slake my thirst." Mordecai mutter indifferently as he thought back to the day he went into hibernation.

****

"His lordship, thy sarcophagus has been prepared." A woman with pale white beautiful skin and red eyes dressed in black gothic dress could be seen kneeling before a throne made of dragon bones.

The room was completely dark except for the magical lights floating around.

"Hark! Prepare the vessel, for I shall embark upon a protracted slumber. Upon mine departure, thy Lord, behold! Dracula shall reign supreme o'er thee, vampires of the night. I charge thee, obey his decrees implicitly, lest upon mine awakening, thou shalt all know the depths of my wrath and you all shalt know pain.

Furthermore, let this be known: none shall disturb mine repose, no matter the circumstance. See to it, lest ye incur mine ire."

"Yes, your lordship."

A model like handsome cold looking man who looks to be in his 18 with pale white lean but muscular body, red eyes that shine in the dark with oppressive intent and white silver long hair that reaches his shoulder could be seen seated on the throne.

His name is Mordecai Sanguinarious, the current strongest Vampire on earth.

"Now, let us sail." Mordecai ordered.

****

After a short sail all thanks to the magical boat, Mordecai and three other servants finally reached the centre of the biggest ocean in the world.

Looking around, Mordecai couldn't help but remember the last time he went into hibernation for a hundred years in this same place, it was refreshing and cold for him which was why he chose the same place.

Stepping into his sarcophagus, Mordecai ordered, "Engrave it with runes of eternal preservation, and encircle it with chains of sturdy iron, that it may be secured, before committing it to the briny abyssal sea."

With those words, he grabbed the edge of the coffin and closed himself inside.

One of the servant who was a shaman immediately start chanting some spells in an unknown language as he engraved them on the coffin, following him, another one grabbed a chain as thick as a newborn baby arm and wrapped it tightly around the coffin before lowering it.

They stood and watch as the coffin sank to the deepest part of the ocean before they steer the boat and left the place.

To them, no one in his stupid mind would dare disturb the Lord in his slumber, even a king level beast will think twice before swimming close to that place.
