Chapter 15 - 15: The Turning Point

Lyra's eyes locked onto the glimmer of light, her heart racing with excitement. She knew it was a risk, but she had to try. With a swift motion, she reached out with her magic, connecting with the light.

The energy surged through her, imbuing her with a newfound strength. Kaida noticed the change in her, and together they launched a fierce counterattack.

Xandros, now fully transformed, let out a deafening roar as they struck. The creature stumbled backward, its dark form wavering under the assault.

Lyra felt a surge of hope as she realized that they might actually have a chance to defeat Xandros. But just as they thought they had the upper hand, a figure emerged from the shadows.

It was Arin, Lyra's brother, his eyes fixed intently on Xandros. "Wait," he cried, holding up a hand. "Don't kill him!"

Lyra and Kaida hesitated, unsure of what to do. Arin's words hung in the air, and for a moment, the battle seemed to freeze.

"What do you mean?" Lyra asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Arin took a step forward, his eyes locked on Xandros. "There's something inside him," he said. "Something that's been trapped for a long time. I think it might be the key to stopping this darkness once and for all."

Lyra's eyes narrowed, her mind racing with possibilities. Could Arin be right? Was there something more to Xandros than they knew?

The fate of their clans hung in the balance, and Lyra knew she had to make a decision. Would she trust Arin's instincts, or would she finish the battle once and for all?
