After being admonished by Pomphrey and a few other professors, Auden was escorted back to Ravenclaw tower by Pomphrey while the others discussed about what happened.
A few of them chuckled as they were trying to hold themselves back from laughing in front of Auden.
Thankfully because of the attack, they decided not to deduct any points. But Auden was warned from ever entering the restricted section without the permission of his head of the house.
"Can't believe the kid was so daring to fool a teacher" Pomona said while smiling. She was still angry at Lockheart for burning down her plants earlier this year while he was trying to show off in front of the kids.
"Well, can't blame him for it, it was pretty easy" Septima said with a smile. As Lockheart had spread fake news that she had sent him countless love letters during their school days, and she was still pissed off about it.
"But where is Lockheart, why did he not come to the meeting?" McGonagall asked and right at that moment, Lockheart came stumbling into the headmasters office, falling onto the carpet in a funny manner earning amused looks from everyone around him.
But he still smiled while he immediately scrambled up, as if trying to show that even the falling down was something planned by him.
BuT the attention of all the professors moved on to something else. Lockheart had a few sizable bulges on his head, showing that he had been hit by something just a few moments ago.
"Lockheart what happened to you?" McGonangl asked, curious about the accident that caused Lockheart these wounds.
"Oh, what can I say. It must be an enemy I had vanquished years ago trying to kill me by cursing me to die. But with my stellar luck and skills, all they can get are a few scratches" The moment Lockheart said that a sharp glass piece from the Chandelier on the roof of the room dropped down, falling and penetrating straight through his foot.
"AIYEEEEEEEEEE" Lockheart screamed in a high pitch voice as he got the glass out of his foot.
The other teachers were silent as it happened. One of the things they knew about Auden was that he had some sort of connection to the Hogwarts castle itself. They had seen examples in the start of the year with Dumbledore being the brunt of the attacks from the castle.
It did not take a genius to realise what was happening right now. Many of the teachers had a bit of a tight expression.
"Lockheart, where were you earlier this night" Flitwick asked his tone measured.
"Oh, that" Lockheart who got a potion from Snape for the wound looked away and then replied. "My dear fans had written their letters to me with their own blood. I had to return their well wishes if I am to show them a glimpse of my love that I have for them"
Lockheart replied in an exaggerated manner. But the teachers were not fooled, they had countless years of experience in dealing with children who lied through their teeth. They were able to see how he shifted his eyes and the way he is now trying to shift the talk towards his fans. It did not take them long to realise who was behind the attack.
Some of the teachers shifted their eyes towards Dumbledore and saw no surprise. They cursed in their minds as they realised Dumbledore knew and was playing some kind of game in the background.
Lockheart then blurted out a few reasons such as fan mail and looking around the school to find the attacker who clearly is trying to hide from him to go out of the room.
"Albus" McGonagall was about to question dumbledore but was stopped by him who raised his hand.
"For now, we should deal with the small surprise that our dear student had shown to us Minerva. I believe his situation is what we should give more importance to right now" Dumbledore said which earned a small scoff from Snape on the side.
The others wanted to continue as well, but they realised they won't get any answers from Dumbledore.
"He has really good memory, so he might have already finished the entire curriculum of Astronomy, including those of the advanced classes" Aurora commented.
"He has no future in divination, never saw such sturdy string" Trelawney said though her eyes seemed to be looking at the skies.
"Why" Pomona asked
"Every life has a string that moves in the tapestry of the world. These movements create vibration which are detected by us seers who are malleable and are easily able to detect those vibrations. But his string is so sturdy that I have never seen one such as him. I can't see his future, and I have not failed in seeing anyone's ever" Trelawny said while clutching a few locks of her hair. She seemed extremely frustrated.
"Well as much as I would like to have that discussion, we still need to deal with what should be taught to that child. We had given him even more detailed notes on the first-year subjects so that he does not waste his time.
But the rate at which he had learned shows that we are actually holding him back by following the earlier plan" McGonagall said as she was troubled that Auden already reached the final years in Transfiguration so quickly.
"His skills in spells cannot be mistaken, the rate at which he learned extremely complicated spells within minutes shows that he does not need much guidance in those subjects. But the matter of potions, care of magical creatures and herbology still requires experience that cannot be gained by books alone" Snape commented from the side. Even he too decided to get serious after finding out the talent hidden within the supposed descendant of Hogwarts.
Dumbledore was completely silent while these discussions were going on, and finally he decided to offer his suggestion.
"What about the clubs, why don't we have Auden join every single one of them. Wasn't the club's main aim was to advice spectacular students in the subjects they were talented in. Although there were no precedence of a student joining multiple clubs, we can take a special consideration for Auden due to his talents" Dumbledore presented his idea which earned the approval of the teachers.
Auden at the time had no idea that his plan to have less classes will bite his back in such spectacular way.
