As the the good feeling from the kiss wore off, Akashi came to realize that his plans had consequences.
He looked deeply into Korra's blue eyes. She smiled broadly, her gaze locked on him. He could feel her happiness, simply from finding him alive and well.
Her cheeks flushed, and she said, "That was a good kiss."
Akashi wasn't the kind of person who knew how to respond to compliments, for they were rare. He paused for three seconds.
"I felt that too," he said. Sometimes, talking to a girl felt like a blitz chess match. That's why he liked the chief. There was no need to play.
She giggled. "So, you kissed me, I kiss you… what are we now?"
"That's quite a difficult question," Akashi murmured, staring at the shadow of the airship.
Yeah, there would be drama between Korra and the chief. He remembered the last time that had happened, and when the chief had called Korra a "man-their whore."
"I'm not asking for much," Korra said, "I'd like to be with you, even if I have to handle a nasty old lady who's just screwing you around."
Truth be told, Korra wasn't fine with that. But she believed that if she got a chance, she could make Akashi forget about that police chief.
Akashi patted her on the head and said, "Forget that for now. Let's talk about important things."
"Important things?" she asked, repeating after him.
Akashi nodded. "Yeah. I'm your mentor before everything. Can you enter the Avatar's state now?"
"Yes. I've got complete control over it, like two days ago." She replied.
Akashi smiled. He felt a warmth, knowing that she didn't doubt him for manipulating her emotions to teach her the Avatar's state.
Well, she had been his best shield after all.
Had his fight against the bloodbenders failed, she'd be the one meant to save the day.
But nothing went exactly as planned, and Akashi had outdone himself by finishing the job by himself.
"That's a relief," Akashi muttered.
It meant that the world's troubles were reduced by at least 50%.
Well, thinking about it again, it may increase, considering Korra's naive thinking and stupid canon decisions.
'She'd destroy the real estate market by linking the spiritual realm and the physical realm.' Akashi sighed, 'I've got bigger troubles to think about now.'
The airship slowly landed.

'Yeah… her and her anger issues… what should I say? I didn't plan for this already… wait, I did, pretend to be unconscious for a few days and then wake up hoping she forgets everything… but forgot it because I was too busy focusing on taking Amon down.' Akashi sighed. 'Too late to do that though.'
"So, you're alive after all," she said calmly, her emotions hard to read.
"I may be a ghost, who knows." Akashi replied.
"You and your smart-ass comments." Lin sighed as she opened her arms widely and got him into a hug.
"Chief… You're choking me.." Akashi tried to jerk back. But nevertheless, he got hugged by a woman wearing a metal armor consumed to her large boobs.
And unlike in most animes, in this world, the metal was threatening to break his ribs.
"I'll kill you for messing up with me." She said warmly, hugging him closer.
"Take your armor down first." He declared.
"Pervert," she rejected, before landing a kiss on his lips.
The metalbenders who were picking up the unconscious anti-benders stopped and looked at the scene, while poking their teammates to look at the scene.
Lin seemed to no longer care about what the other officers would say.
And Akashi kissed her back while looking at Korra's reaction. She just stared at the police chief.
Lin pulled back.
Korra stepped in and put her hands between, saying, "You're choking him."
"And what does that have to do with you," Lin asked, her cheeks were still red.
"Everything. I don't want you to kill my man." Korra replied, grabbing Akashi by the head for a kiss in front of Lin.
Lin opened her eyes widely.
"You did her?" she asked, pointing to Korra.
Akashi shrugged, and he said, "Well…"
He felt as if he was standing in front of a volcano that was about to erupt.
"I've been trying to initiate a lot with you. And you said that we're just fuck-buddies. So…what happened happened?" he said.
Meanwhile, he closed his eyes and tried to say his prayers before leaving this life.
'Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I take a look at my life and realize there's nothing left 'Cause I've been blastin' and laughin' so long that even my mama thinks that my mind is gone.'
'Wrong verse.'
"It's true I said that. And I understand you. So, you are saying you are leaving me." Lin glared at him with a gentle expression that threatened to cry at any given moment.
"She said she's fine with you." Akashi pointed to Korra.
Korra bit her bottom lip and turned her head.
"Humph." Lin harrumphed, "This bitch wouldn't handle you… if you put it all from the first try, I'll not bother you again."
"Neither you…" Akashi muttered.
"Excuse you!" Korra opened her eyes widely, almost glowing blue.
"Whatever. As long as this brat accepts I'm screwing you, I'm fine" Lin sighed, "You're alive and that's what matters…"
At the same time, she started planning in her head to find a way to make Akashi leave Korra, even before things started.
"Yeah… Just don't get in my way." Korra said. "Or I beat you up."
"Disrespectful brat."
"Old hag."
The two argued.
Between the watching eyes, that day, Akashi became a legend. A man who got the police chief and the Avatar fight over him publicly.
