"Obviously, you forgot you're an airnomad. It'd be better if you came to the island." Tenzin said, "to reevaluate your abilities, review your strengths and weaknesses, and work on them."
Akashi pondered for a moment. It was already morning, the early one. He had nothing to do. And he still had to allocate the skill points he had accumulated. Though he doubted that he needed to compare himself to the kids now, he still felt nostalgic thinking about it.
"Did the kids ask for a second race?" he asked.
Tenzin faked a cough. But he slowly nodded. Akashi thought about it for a second. There may be Korra there in the Airbending Temple island, and he could use her as a banner to level up his airbending. Well, not Korra in her normal state, but in her Avatar State. She'd have the mastery of hundreds, if not thousands, of airbenders. Using her as a comparison would be good. Besides, she was a very petty person who would go to the Avatar's state if she thought she would lose a race to the kids.
"By the way, congrats on having your 4th kid. Sorry that I didn't attend." Akashi said.
"I understand. You are a very busy person. Much like myself," replied Tenzin, "now that you are retired, you can't
"Not retired, resigned. I have no pension." Akashi shook his head, "And I'm more busy than ever. I'm running two businesses, and I'm about to open the third, fourth, and fifth."
He wasn't making up excuses, but was truly considering it. The third would be farming potatoes. The fourth would be opening a fast-food restaurant. And the fifth would be fermenting the potato peels into vodka.
He had capital after living poorly for two lives, and it was time to have some financial freedom. The Republic City was recently constructed, and the fact that there was less competition than in Earth may prove to be useful.
But truth be told, to think that selling fast food as rich people's food made him feel quite guilty.
"You'll get through it. If you need a job, the Order of the White Lotus is always open for you. Now, get on top of the bison." Tenzin said.
Akashi got on the flying bison's back, and it flew.
Somewhere on the way, Tenzin faked a cough.
"Akashi."
"Yes."
"I know you are young, and you are enjoying your youth as you should. But never forget your duties as an airbender."
Akashi tilted his head, as if waiting for a response.
"And what might that be?" he asked.
"Obviously, to repopulate our race," Tenzin said.
Akashi could get what he was saying. Screw around in your youth, but when you get older, donate your sperm to us.
"And why didn't you?" Akashi asked, "You could take many wives if you wanted… and you would have a lot of airbenders."
"That doesn't work."
"Don't you have 4 airbender kids?"
"3, and I don't know about the fourth." Tenzin sighed. "I have 2 siblings, and I'm the only airbender. If I marry a girl from any nation, or had any benders predecessors, the kids aren't likely to make it to be airbenders… Penma was a rare case, or to be said, I was lucky to have a woman who came from no benders line."
Tenzin then turned to Akashi and placed his hands on his shoulders. "But with you… you have the genes of airbenders. And my daughters are airbenders. In less than a century, it's possible to repopulate the whole temple."
Akashi stared into Tenzin's eyes for some time.
And he realized.
This man was truly desperate.
'It's better to tell him what he wants for now. After that, we would have a new generation of earthbenders after that every ten thousand years harmonic shit. He'd drop it as fast as possible. Though it's not bad to have a harem promised to you in the future. I can't see them like that now. Not to mention, no one knows what happens in the future. I may be dead or not.'
Akashi patted him on the shoulder, "it's okay, Tenzin. Matter of fact, if you want, I know a good trick to repopulate the airbenders, even after I'm dead."
"Oh, and what might that be?" he asked.
"Do you know, if you freeze the semen, it would still work even after a hundred years." Akashi said, "I came to read through an experiment that I found during one of my investigations. It's groundbreaking. So, if something happened to me in the future, you can repopulate little mes and call them grandsons."
Tenzin had a mixed expression on his face.
One of astonishment, one of disgust, and one of horror.
He put his hands on his face. "I can't believe you made me picture my daughters like that! It's disgusting. And to see them live like widows."
"You made me picture them as adults, you psycho! They are like little siblings" Akashi shouted back.
Tenzin lowered his hand, "They can grow. Penma was a child when I was your age too. Didn't expect that after 15 years she would capture my heart."
"Can you drop the subject for now?" Akashi said with a forced smile, resisting the desire to smack the bald head of the monk.
"Sure." Tenzin said, turning and focusing on guiding the bison.

After arriving at the temple, the first thing Akashi did was to check on his system. He had a total of thirteen skill points. That's a massive amount of points, and he was quite confused between using it to level up airbending and leveling up wavesbending.
Wavesbending was obviously a strong form of bending, like every other form. And it was quite unheard of. It had many applications in battle, and even in hand-to-hand fights, for it could amplify the shock waves.
On the other hand, airbending was no less. It allowed him to move faster, create sharp blades. And Akashi was hoping that he could get allowed of another sub-bending form. Though it would make him lose some skill points, if he could fly, so be it.
As for experience points, he could always hunt.
He just had to do so silently, and never scream enough to make spirits vengeful against him.
Akashi stepped to the yard of the temple, finding the kids running early.
As for Korra, she was doing some stretches in the corner. Upon seeing him, her eyes lit up. She stopped stretching and walked to him. But before she could arrive, the kids ran to him and in no time were in front of him.
"Akashi…. Let's race." It was Ikki, the middle one, with two buns on the side of her forehead, and she seemed to have lost a tooth.
"A race, you mean?" he asked.
"Yes." She nodded.
"You can't beat me, though."
"I beat you last time."
"I let you win, honestly."
"No, you didn't."
"Yes, I did."
"I smell coward…"
Akashi patted Ikki on the head, talked with the other kids, before Korra arrived at the scene, walking with Jinora.
Jinora spoke, "Are you two done with acting childish," speaking to Akashi and her sister.
"You're the child here." Meelo replied to his sister, jumping on her, holding her from the hair and trying to pull.
Penma arrived at the scene, holding a child in her arms. "Hello. Akashi."
"Hey, Penma," Akashi acknowledged with a nod.
"Heard you've been with my husband's ex," she said, with a smile. "quite a surprise, I must say."
"Just to clear it, you should be angry at your husband." Akashi replied.
"Huh? Why?" Korra asked, looking between Penma and Akashi.
"Why not. He's got a good point," Penma nodded. "But be careful. That woman has a fetish for airbenders. I must say."
Akashi leaned toward Korra, and used wavesbending to whisper in her ear, so no one else could hear her.
"It's natural to hate the ex of your partner, and no matter what they do, the partner is to blame. Got it. If you get caught in the middle, direct them at each other." Akashi advised.
After some chatter, Akashi talked to Korra about her day, things, and they even agreed to have a meal sometime. In other words, a date. Korra at first had suggested going to the pro-bending arena to watch a match. But Akashi had refused because he'd developed some gambling habits, and he would lose money if he went there. Instead, they'd go to some restaurant, and that's all.
"Alright everyone. It's time to see how you progressed. Akashi. Why don't you and Korra start with a simple race." Said Tenzin.
