Chapter 13 - The Unveiling

The morning sun streamed through the stained glass windows of the palace's great hall, casting kaleidoscopic patterns on the marble floor. Today was no ordinary day—it was the day Aria would officially be presented to the Lycan Kingdom as the Luna, the King's destined mate and future Queen.

Excitement and tension rippled through the air as pack leaders, nobles, and warriors gathered, all eager to witness the moment that would solidify the kingdom's future. Aria stood poised, her midnight blue gown flowing gracefully around her. The silver crescent mark on her wrist seemed to glow softly, as if acknowledging the importance of the day.

Lucien stood by her side, his silver eyes blazing with pride and quiet authority.

When the doors opened, a hush fell over the crowd. Aria took a deep breath and stepped forward, her gaze meeting those of the assembled packs.

"I am Aria," she began, her voice steady and clear. "Once rejected, but now standing before you as the Luna of the Lycan King. I pledge my loyalty to this kingdom and to all who call it home."

Murmurs swept through the crowd—some skeptical, others impressed.

Lucien raised his hand, silencing the whispers. "She is not just my Luna," he proclaimed. "She is the strength and heart of our future. Together, we will unite the packs and lead with honor."

Aria felt a surge of courage. The weight of their expectations pressed on her, but she was ready to bear it.

After the ceremony, Aria mingled cautiously, aware of the watchful eyes and veiled intentions.

Isolde approached, her expression unreadable. "You've done well," she said. "But the path ahead is fraught with peril."

Aria nodded. "I know."

Suddenly, a voice interrupted the moment.

"Congratulations, Luna."

Aria turned to see Darius, the warrior who had sparred with her, now unmasked and smiling warmly.

"You've proven yourself more than capable."

Relief and warmth blossomed inside her.

Lucien watched the exchange, a rare softness in his gaze.

Later, as dusk painted the sky with shades of violet and gold, Aria and Lucien stood on the palace balcony, the kingdom sprawling beneath them.

"Today was just the beginning," Lucien said. "There will be challenges—enemies who refuse to accept you."

Aria rested her head against his shoulder. "But I'm not alone."

Their bond pulsed between them, strong and unbreakable.

But in the shadows, Selena's fury burned hotter than ever.

"This kingdom will never bow to her," she snarled. "I will see to that."

The Lycan Kingdom had changed forever.

And Aria was ready to lead its transformation.
