Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 {Trapped}

Yuna, unaware of the girls' true intentions, nodded eagerly at Mei Ling's suggestion.

"That sounds like fun!" she exclaimed, her violet eyes shining with innocence.

Mei Ling's smile grew wider, but there was a cruel glint in her eyes that Yuna failed to notice.

"Great! Let's go to the old shed behind the temple. It'll be perfect for our game."

The group of children followed Mei Ling, with Yuna trailing behind them naively. As they reached the shed, Mei Ling turned to Yuna with a wicked grin.

"Okay, ugly duckling sister, it's time for your punishment," she said mockingly.

"What punishment?" Yuna asked confused.

Without warning, Mei Ling shoved Yuna into the shed and slammed the door shut. The other children laughed cruelly as they heard Yuna's muffled cries from inside.

"Let her stay in there for a while," Mei Ling sneered.

"It'll teach her a lesson about being so pretty and getting all the attention."

The group of children wandered off, leaving Yuna trapped and frightened in the dark shed.

Yuna shouted for help but no one heard her and Yuna let out a cry as she touched her Buddhist bracelet that was black and whit the beads moved around she did this when she was nervous or scared.

The door opened a 12 year old guy who was extremely handsome stared at Yuna. He was also an orphan but other teenagers called him boss and he often did not care for others. Yuna who looked up without a thought let out a cry.

"Waaa! Beautiful one! You so handsome and thank you for saving me," Yuna said between tears.

After Yuna was sat back down she looked at Lu Tang San who turned back and walked off. Yuna rushed to her room and she happily sat on her bed and went to sleep.

The next morning she did not play with girls she didn't like them! She found where the beautiful one hanged out which was near a peach blossom. Yuna waved her small arms and Lu Tang San sharp eyes snapped open. He felt annoyed and turned his head ignoring Yuna who didn't mind but foolishly sat down and also laid down next to him.

Lu Tang San's annoyance quickly turned to surprise as he felt a small, warm body snuggle up against his side. He looked down to see Yuna curled up next to him, her silvery hair fanning out over his arm and her violet eyes gazing up at him adoringly.

"What are you doing?" he asked gruffly, trying to ignore the fluttering sensation in his chest.

"I'm keeping you company," Yuna replied innocently, resting her head on his shoulder.

"You saved me yesterday, so now I want to be your friend."

Lu Tang San sighed heavily, torn between his desire to push her away and the unexpected warmth spreading through him at her presence.

"You're too young to be hanging around with someone like me," he muttered.

"But I don't care! I like you!" Yuna exclaimed happily, wrapping her arms around his waist.

Lu Tang San's resolve crumbled at the sincerity in her voice. He hesitantly draped an arm around her shoulders, pulling her closer.

"Fine," he grumbled.

Year later Lu Tang San friends noticed how Lu Tang San a cold heartless guy treated Yuna like a princess and people in the temple started joking around calling Yuna his future little innocent wife. Yuna not understanding didn't pay it mind.

One day Yuna went to the normal spot did not find Lu Tang San and she waited for him until a red head walked over.

"Yuna, Brother Tang won't come."

"Why?"

"Well his family found him so he left."

Yuna felt her eyes water and she cried she didn't understand why another person lift her alone she grabbed Little Bai and the red head Gu Kong sighed.

"But here it's a bird egg he wanted you to have he said you must promise him to wait for him to become extremely powerful and strong."

"Oh!"

Gu Kong who was also founded by his family a year earlier before knowing Yuna came often to see his best friend so of course he treated Yuna like a princess once he dared made Yuna cry and Lu Tang San beat him up endlessly and told him if he made her cry again he would him crippled! Tsk tsk this guy possessiveness is far too much! Yuna was now happy as she held on the egg and rushed off. Though she would no longer see her beautiful one she made a promise to herself to stay strong!

When she looked over she saw Mei Ling.

Mei Ling watched Yuna rush off with a mixture of envy and resentment. She had always been jealous of the attention Yuna received, both from the boys and Lu Tang San. Now, seeing her holding that precious egg, Mei Ling's jealousy reached a boiling point.

She stomped over to Yuna, grabbing her arm roughly.

"Where did you get that egg?" she demanded, her voice dripping with malice.

Yuna looked up at Mei Ling with tears still streaking her cheeks, clutching the egg protectively to her chest.

"It's a gift from Lu Tang San," she sniffled.

"He wanted me to have it."

Mei Ling's eyes narrowed, her grip on Yuna's arm tightening.

"That's a lie!" she spat.

"Why would someone like him give something so valuable to a stupid little girl like you?"

Yuna's lower lip trembled, but she stood her ground, refusing to let go of the egg.

Granny Chen noticed Yuna's absence at dinner and became concerned. She made her way upstairs to check on the little girl, knocking gently on her door.

"Yuna, dear? Are you alright?" she called out softly.

When she received no response, Granny Chen pushed the door open, finding Yuna fast asleep on her bed with Little Bai curled up beside her. The egg Lu Tang San had given her was still clutched tightly in her small hands.

Granny Chen's heart ached at the sight. She knew Yuna had been having a hard time fitting in with the other children, but seeing her so exhausted and alone broke her heart.

She sat down on the edge of the bed, gently brushing a strand of silvery hair away from Yuna's face.

"Poor dear," she murmured.

"Granny Chen? Why am I an idiot?" Yuna asked her when she opened her eyes.
