# Chapter 28
Making numerous bloody footprints, Ares trundled with his squishing boots toward the seat in the middle that Zeus pointed at. He placed both hands at the back, stood straight, and looked up at Zeus, his father who owned the Olympus. Ares, who had the darkest tanned skin among the gods, didn’t load any emotions in his gray eyes and just kept silent with a stiff face. He was about to listen to the accusation that someone brought against him again.
“Alpheus, the river god of Kallithea made a petition. After Ares’ chariot drove away, the river was stained with blood, the surrounding fields were completely devastated, and humans were massacred or sent as slaves; even those in charge of dealing with the chaotic situation were said to be all gone. Demeter also pleaded that her fields and farms, those that should be busy with the autumn harvest, were clawed to death by war and have resulted in grain damage and burnt-off forestlands.”
