Chapter 3 - Chapter 2

Seven Years Ago…

The coastal city of Eldoria was known for its crystal-clear waters and towering white cliffs. To Kael Veyne, it was home.

He had once lived a peaceful life with his younger sister, Elira. Their parents were

merchants, constantly traveling, leaving the two siblings to rely on each

other. Elira was everything

to him bright, adventurous, always pulling him into trouble with her wild

ideas. "Come on, Kael! Let's sneak onto the ships again! We'll be pirates for a day!" Kael, always the

cautious one, would sigh but follow her anyway. But one night, everything changed. Amercenary group known as the Black Maw raided the city. Their leader, a ruthless water mage named Vaelin Dross, drowned entire

sections of Eldoria with forbidden magic. Kael fought to protect his sister, but he was just a teenager with barely any combat

experience.

In the chaos, Elira was taken. Kael chased after her captors, battling through waves of enemies, but by the time he reached the

docks… it was too late. He saw Vaelin

standing over the edge of the pier, holding Elira's limp body. "Too slow," the

mercenary sneered. And then—he dropped her into the ocean. Kael screamed. He dove in, but

the currents were too strong. He searched for hours. He never found her body. That night, Kael Veyne swore vengeance.

He pushed himself into brutal training, mastering water magic until he became

one of the most formidable knights in the Crimson Fangs. But no matter how strong he became, he could never wash away his failure.

Present

Day – The Mission Begins

Kael stood at the edge of a ruined fortress, scanning the entrance as rain poured from the stormy sky. "Multiple enemies

inside," he muttered. "Two at the front gate. More waiting deeper in." Raze cracked his knuckles. "Guess we'll have to knock first." Lyra smirked. "Let's make it a grand entrance."Kael nodded. His blue yes darkened. He'd spent years hunting mercenary groups like Ebon

Requiem,

trying to fill the void left by his sister's death. Tonight, he would

drown them in their own sins. The Battle Begins

Raze moved first, unleashing a wave of fire that blasted the fortress doors open. The guards

barely had time to react before Lyra and Garrik charged in, cutting them down

with precise, earth-enhanced strikes.

Kael's hands glowed with blue energy

as he stepped forward. The moment an assassin rushed him, he raised a hand— water Surged from the rain,

forming into a spear. "You're

in my way." He sent the spear

flying, impaling the enemy through the chest. More enemies appeared,

pouring out from the fortress halls.

Mira smashed the ground, sending

stone spikes through their ranks, while Raze burned through their defenses. Kael fought like a

man possessed. He weaved through the battlefield, his water

magic flowing like a deadly dance.

One by one, their enemies fell. Until A

deep voice echoed from the shadows.

"So… you're the Crimson Fangs' elites." The team turned as a

tall figure emerged from the corridor. He wore black

robes with silver markings—the symbol of Ebon Requiem. His face was hidden behind a mask, but Kael felt something familiar. The man raised his hand, and instantly, the rain around them froze mid-air. A dark chill crept over Kael's skin.

" No

It can't be—" The enemy removed

his mask. It was Vaelin

Dross. The man who killed

his sister. Kael's breath caught in his throat. His heart pounded. Vaelin smiled. "Long

time no see, kid." Kael's vision blurred with rage and grief. Without thinking, he lunged

forward, water magic surging in his hands. " VAELIN!!" The battle was about to change everything.
