The Void Scholar and the Chronicles of the Seven Seals

MAGIC & POWER SYSTEM: Essentia

The fundamental magical energy of the world. All living things possess some Essentia, but its strength and form can vary. It fuels spells, artifacts, and even the world's geography.

There are various Essentia types, including:

Void Essentia – rare, unstable, reality-bending (used by Cael)

Beast Essentia – instinctive, primal, used by creatures

Time, Flame, Frost, Shadow, Light, Earth, and more – each tied to natural or conceptual forces

Core Tier System (Power Progression)

Every being with awakened Essentia undergoes Core Formation, progressing through tiers:

Tier 0 – Dormant: Unawakened or passive Essentia.

Tier 1 – Kindling: First awakening. Minor spell use possible.

Tier 2 – Channeling: User can manipulate and store Essentia actively.

Tier 3 – Glyph-Carved: Essentia condenses into symbols (glyphs) on soul/core.

Tier 4 – Arcanum: User alters local reality; minor metaphysical feats.

Tier 5 – Mythic: Near-divine mastery. Can break natural laws.

Rare individuals can breach the known tiers into Forbidden Tier or Sealed Tier states—often at great cost.

Informal Levels

A casual measure used by adventurers, guilds, and locals. Not a hard metric like in games, but used to rank difficulty or personal strength:

Level 1–10: Beginner

Level 11–30: Experienced

Level 31–50: Elite

Level 51+: Heroic/Legendary

Glyphs

Magical runes and symbols that store or shape Essentia.

Each glyph represents a magical concept (e.g., fire, memory, containment). Some are ancient, others invented by scholars.

Cael's glyphs are often unstable due to his Void-touched nature.

Relics of the Seven

Legendary artifacts scattered across the world, each linked to a different isekai'd protagonist. They are infused with unique Essentia signatures.

Some are active weapons/tools. Others are dormant until "awakened."

Each relic reacts differently depending on who finds it.

WORLD & GEOGRAPHY: The Fracture

A massive, permanent rift in reality sealed by Cael Adrios.

It bleeds Void Essentia and distorts nearby time, space, and mana. Located in the frozen polar region of Aetheros.

Aetheros

The continent of ice, forgotten cities, and forbidden knowledge. This is where Cael is summoned. Dominated by frozen ruins, deep archives, and metaphysical anomalies.

The Seven Continents (Protagonist Origins)Aetheros – Antarctica inspired (Cael's setting) – mysterious and ancient.

Savara – Africa inspired – wildlands, mana-beasts, survival.

Jinzhan – Asia inspired – martial clans, time-bending arts.

Virelia – Europe inspired – kingdoms, heroes, divine pacts.

Kovareth – North America inspired – collapsing tech-cities, manatech warfare.

Nyora – Australia inspired – monster-infested archipelago, taming arts.

Soltira – South America inspired – rainforests, blood gods, mythic trials.

Leyveins / Mana Veins

Underground currents of pure Essentia. Cities, ruins, and beasts often form around them. Some are stable; others are fractured and volatile (especially near the Fracture).

A buried city-sized library of forbidden glyphs and theories. Key location in The Void Scholar.

FACTIONS, ROLES & CONCEPTS: The Sealed Seven

A mythic term for the seven otherworlders (protagonists), each marked by fate and bound by a deeper pattern. The term is unknown to most characters but hinted at in glyph lore and relic texts.

High Beings / Deities

Mysterious entities that govern certain Essentia laws or manipulate isekai events. Some are benevolent, others malevolent or indifferent. Most cannot interact directly without breaking the "Seals of Intervention."

Wards / Sigils

Passive or active Essentia-infused markings for protection, control, or suppression. Common in cities, ruins, and artifact design.

Mana Echoes

Afterimages left by powerful spells, deaths, or events. In high-Essentia zones, they can manifest as illusions, voices, or even temporary phantoms.

Essentia Anomalies

Phenomena caused by misuse, corruption, or overflow of Essentia. Includes:

Time Skips

Reality Tears

Glyph Collapse

Void Bleeding

Void-Touched

A state of being altered by exposure to raw Void Essentia. Grants immense power at the cost of mental stability or reality anchoring. Cael is one of the few stable Void-Touched beings.

OTHER TERMS: The Seal of One

The final metaphysical seal binding Cael's soul to the Fracture. A sacrifice made to preserve the world. Its nature is legendary and misunderstood by future generations.

Glyphsong

A rare phenomenon where multiple glyphs resonate in harmonic patterns, unlocking hidden meanings or deep spells. Often triggered during climactic events.

Soul Echo / Soulbinding

Advanced state where a being binds their soul to a relic, glyph, or Essentia stream. Grants permanence—but can never be reversed.

Fractured Scholars

A derogatory term for those who delve too far into glyph theory or Void research. Sometimes literal—some scholars go mad or physically "fracture" from unstable Essentia experiments
