Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 - Prologue

Long before time was touched by mankind,Before the two great pillars entered a world of peace,Before light and darkness waged their great war—Even before the sacred spirits ever set foot upon the gentle earth—

Fate and hope.

That is what they called the two most powerful pillars of life.

The Messengers descended, choosing to protect these two pillars to prevent another great war—and they did so with magic.

As time passed, countless forms of magic were created to shield them. But in time, chaos bloomed.

Hatred and selfishness spread among them, and thus, dark magic was born—its true origin still unknown.

Fate and hope were tainted by this shadow.Dark magic flowed like a river through the mountains;the sun whispered to the stars to flee from the moon;the sky became a nightmare for every creature walking beneath it.

It was the end of every dream.

Then, the sacred spirits descended once more—to cleanse the world, to return peace to mankind.Sweat, tears, and blood were washed awayby the aura born of the spirits' presence.

But fate, once again, had different plans.

The praises sung to the sacred spirits only fed the desires of humankind.Selfishness, seeded by fate itself, took everything.

Massacres, power struggles—humans fought to possess the spirits' strength.Their hearts blinded, drowning in a sea with no shore.

The gods grew wrathful at the loss of the sacred spirit's soul. Then, one soul—one bearer of the most dangerous magic—was cursed, cast into exile, hidden far from human reach.

Yet the world did not end.Magic vanished from history. No sacred spirit touched the earth again.Even the gods' wrath eventually faded—

Like prey slain and abandoned.

Are humans merely toys to the rulers above the skies? Are they corpses, never buried, left to rot in silence? And what became of fate and hope?
