Chapter 22 - Chapter 22

New Arrivals and a Fated Reunion

"Groaaaaaar," Alex roared, his fist flying towards Shin, who immediately parried it with his samurai sheath. "Wham!" Shin successfully blocked it, but he was sent flying into the boarding house. Alex stepped inside, but Shin had already emerged again, passing through the wall and drawing his sword. Alex parried Shin's sword with his carambit and kicked Shin's stomach, but his kick passed through Shin, who immediately delivered a spinning kick to Alex's face, sending him flying sideways.

"Screeeech... CRASH!" Alex's body slammed into the hood of a mini-bus that seemed to have just entered the street, destroying it and causing smoke to billow out. "Creak... creak," Alex got up and sat on the shattered car hood, wiping his mouth. The impact hadn't felt like anything to him. "Click," a handsome man stepped out of the car, his face shocked, both hands on his head.

"Waaaaaah, my caaaaaar!" he yelled.

"Click," a girl got out of the passenger door, seeing the tiger-man who turned back. The girl saw the large tiger-man sitting on the shattered car hood and looking at her, then looked up. She saw a girl who disappeared and reappeared, fighting with a skeleton floating in the air.

"Why did I come out of the island only to find so many supernatural beings here? Wait, they are..." the girl muttered.

"My car... Hey, you'll pay for that!" the young man yelled at Alex.

But Alex turned to look at Shin and stood on the car hood, then he jumped and resumed fighting Shin. Amanda, seeing the two people who had gotten out of the car, immediately approached them both.

"Are you Diaz?" Amanda asked.

"Yes... my caaar... eh... Amanda?" Diaz asked.

"Yes, that's right, and you must be Fani..." Amanda replied, turning to Fani.

"Yes... Amanda, right? Nice to meet you," Fani said.

"Then... what's all that, Man?" Diaz asked, pointing to those who were fighting.

"Well... it's like that. Wait... you can see Shin, the ghost?" Amanda asked.

"Of course I can. A ghost fighting a tiger, a skeleton fighting a disappearing girl..." Diaz replied.

"You can see him too, Fan?" Amanda asked.

"Yep... of course," Fani replied.

"I'll just end this... my car is already wrecked, now I'm annoyed. Fan, handle the ones below," Diaz replied.

"Okay, okay..." Fani replied.

He immediately took off his bracelet and transformed. Diaz immediately flew into the air towards Indra and the girl with the mandau who were fighting. Meanwhile, Fani immediately turned pale-skinned and red-eyed, then floated towards Alex and Shin who were fighting. Amanda was stunned to see them.

"Oh my goodness... all my friends are demons... what will happen to my boarding house if this continues?" Amanda said, shaking her head in dizziness.

Meanwhile, in the air, Indra was still fighting Nara and continued to parry her attacks while retaliating.

"Hey, are we gonna stop this or not?" Indra yelled.

"No, you haven't died yet, why would we stop?" Nara retorted.

"You two gonna stop or not? Don't make me get involved,"

They both immediately stopped and hovered in the air. They turned and saw a man with a completely black face and red eyes, flying with bat wings, a red body, bat ears on his head, and standing with his arms crossed over his chest.

"What is this now..." Indra muttered.

"Oh for goodness sake... more additions instead of fewer..." Nara replied.

"Stop already, look, my car is wrecked... you two get down..." Diaz retorted.

"What do you mean 'your car is wrecked has nothing to do with me'?" Indra retorted.

Suddenly, a mandau flew towards Diaz's neck and was immediately caught by Diaz using his hand. Diaz turned to look at Nara, who had thrown the mandau.

"I told you to stop, don't make me angry," Diaz said in a terrifying voice, holding the blade of the mandau and staring at Nara.

"Yeah, yeah... give me back my mandau," Nara said.

Finally, Diaz and Indra floated down, while Nara disappeared and suddenly reappeared below. The three saw Fani, whose head was in front of Shin's face to stop him, then her detached body held Alex to stop their dispute. Amanda walked into the middle of them.

"Alright, everyone, calm down... let's go inside... we'll talk inside," she said with a wide smile.

"But my car?" Diaz asked, putting on his bracelet and transforming back.

"Sorry, if I had the money, I'd replace it. But it's not my fault either," Alex said, who had returned to his human form and turned to look at Shin.

"Come on, let's go in, this is all your fault, you tin-can ghost..." Indra replied, who had already changed back, pointing at Shin's face.

Shin seemed to speak to Amanda, and then he bowed in front of everyone in a samurai style. "He's apologizing," Amanda said.

"Hey, Kuyang... who are you? I'm Nara," Nara asked in a funny voice to Fani, who was standing next to her.

"Hey don't called me Kuyang... don't talk nonsense. I'm Fani," Fani replied.

"Nice to meet you," Nara replied.

"Your voice is funny, hehe," Fani replied.

Finally, everyone went inside. They all sat in the living room, which Amanda had indeed prepared for hanging out in her boarding house. Amanda asked Shin to get everyone a bottle of mineral water from the refrigerator. Then Amanda introduced herself once again.

"Oh, so you're Putih..." Nara said in a funny voice from behind her mask.

"Yes... who are you?" Amanda asked.

"Psycho," Nara replied.

Immediately, everyone except Alex, who already knew, turned to look at Nara, who claimed her name was Psycho.

"So you're Psycho?" Indra and Diaz asked simultaneously.

Indra and Diaz immediately looked at each other, observing each other's faces. Fani also immediately smiled, and Alex remained calm. Amanda then spoke up.

"So you're Psycho, huh? Sorry, I just gave you the address because you haven't been online much lately. I haven't had a chance to introduce myself," Amanda said.

"You're Psycho, huh? ...Nice to meet you, I'm Corpse, hehehe," Fani said softly.

"Huh... so you're Corpse, oh my god, you're really a corpse..." Nara replied.

"Nonsense, I'm still alive... don' talk to me like that," Fani retorted.

"Putih? Corpse? Why don't I know them?" Indra asked.

"They're my FPS friends. So who are you then?" Nara asked Indra.

"I don't play FPS, I play multiplayer online battle game. My username is Ismi," Indra replied.

"Oh, you're Ismi... how's it going, bro?" Nara said.

"I never thought Psycho was a girl," Indra replied.

Alex immediately turned to look at Indra, who was next to Diaz. He immediately stood up and approached Indra.

"How are you, bro? It's me, Balang, hehehe," Alex said.

"Geez... you're Balang... we finally meet, bro..." Indra replied, also standing up.

"Then who's this?" Alex asked Diaz.

"Oh, I only played multiplayer online battle game for a bit; I mostly play FPS. My username is Kalong," Diaz said.

"Kalong? Oh, the dead weight," Indra said.

"Geez, the dead weight, hahahaha," Alex added.

"See? If it's multiplayer online battle game, I'm dead weight, but here in FPS, come at me, both of you," Diaz retorted.

"Wait, you're Kalong?" Nara asked.

"Yeah, why, Psycho?" Diaz replied.

"Hehehe, nothing... I almost beheaded you just now," Nara replied.

"Huh? How could you behead me?" Diaz retorted.

"Want to test it?" Nara asked.

"Come," Diaz replied.

"Enough already... you're arguing again," Amanda replied.

"Turns out everyone's a gaming friend, hihihi... good thing, otherwise it would be serious," Fani said.

Finally, the tense atmosphere dissipated and became relaxed again. They began to chat and reintroduce themselves, this time in a relaxed mood.

"Hey Lex, how did you end up with Psycho... I mean, Nara?" Indra asked.

"And how did you end up with Fani, Yas?" Amanda asked.

"It's a long story, bro," Alex replied to Indra's question.

"Yeah," Nara added.

"What do you mean 'yeah'? You're such a Psycho, just wandering aimlessly," Alex retorted.

"Hehehe, sorry..." Nara replied.

"Well, that's how it is, she just showed up at my apartment, right, Fan?" Diaz replied to Amanda's question.

"Yeah, hehehe," Fani replied.

And they began to recount their respective meetings and why they had all arrived in pairs.
