Daniel frowned, his arms crossed over his chest. "Hold on—how's that possible? How can a storm decide to hit just some places and leave others dry?"
Paula looked at him, patient but focused, as she pulled the map closer and pointed to the faint blue rings drawn over the parchment. "It's not the storm choosing, Daniel. It's the currents. The winds, pressure shifts, and terrain here in Nirvana don't follow normal patterns. Our land is… complicated."
"Complicated?" he echoed, clearly unimpressed.
