Ogsa took some of the pirate's swords which he couldn't use because they were too small for him and ate them.

Information flooded into his mind, techniques, kata, training techniques. He grinned. Basic swordsmanship already made him better than most in the east blue but intermediate swordsmanship together with one sword style, made him capable of holding his own in paradise. Bummer though that eating more swords didn't seem to make him jump the skill levels any more. Maybe grade swords would? But even so, eating a grade sword would be a waste of a good sword, when he didn't even know if it would work.
Ogsa trained for the rest of the day before going to sleep on his ship, well past midnight.
He slept till midday and woke up only when a bird shit on his face, "damned seagulls", he grunted as he washed off the white defecation.
As he was stretching, his enhanced ears heard something, a cry from inside the city, "I AM GOING TO BE KING OF THE PIRATES!!!"
Just a minute later, the sky turned dark and lightning struck with a thunderous roar.
Time had come. Ogsa put all his belongings into a bag and walked towards the city, just in time to see Luffy trying to punch Smoker, only for his body to turn to smoke, "you are worth 30 million berry? What a joke"
"Hey you need help, strawhat boy?" Ogsa asked, drawing his sword.
"Yeah, I can't seem to land a hit"
"One sword style, Goblin fang", as he struck, he enveloped the blade in black Haki and struck the captain in the chest. He was so used to being invincible here in the east blue that he didn't even try to dodge, falling to the ground as his torso was sliced up.
"Get up strawhat, we don't have much time"
The strawhat crew and Ogsa ran towards the docks.
"Luffy!" Usopp called from the ship, "hurry, this rope won't hold much longer!"
"Nami I'm back!" Called Sanji.
"Hurry up and get on board! We are casting off!"
"Hey you, you are plenty strong, want to join my crew?" Asked Luffy as he climbed aboard.
"I don't see why not", in one big leap, he was on the ship.
"What? How can you invite just a random… guy? Honestly, he doesn't look even human- how can you trust him like that?" Nami protested.
"He saved me from that smoke fellow. None of my attacks touched him but with one swing, he took him out", Luffy's eyes sparkled as they sailed off into the storm, "he-"
In a flash of lightning, Dragon appeared in the sky above them, his hands held high and a favourable wind current was caught by their sails. Just as soon as he was there, he was gone again.
"Who was that?"
"Who cares" Ogsa shrugged, "you are right, little lady, I don't look human, because I am not a human. I am an ogre. The name is Ogsa"
"An ogre? Don't those live under bridges and eat travelers?" Nami looked wary.
"I can assure you, I don't live under a bridge", he grinned, showing off his fangs.
"An ogre on my crew? Suuuuuuge!"
"Wait- wait! You didn't deny eating travelers… have you… eaten someone before?" Usopp squeaked out, hiding behind Zoro like the coward he was.
"Oh yeah, it is dishonourable to not eat what you killed. That goes for animals and for people", he explained, as if it were the most normal thing in the world.
Luffy nodded, "makes sense"
"How does that make sense?!" Nami screeched, "he just admitted to eating someone!"
"Food is food, isn't it?"
"I- you-", Nami raised her hands into the air in defeat, she wouldn't get anywhere arguing with them.
"Hey what's that light?" Usopp tried leading the conversation away from the topic at hand.
"That is the guiding light", Nami was happy to not think about who their captain had just recruited either, "beyond that light is the entrance to the grandline"
Sanji brought out a barrel, placing his foot on it, "I'm going to find the all blue"
"I'm gonna be king of the pirates", Luffy declared proudly.
"I'm gonna be the world's greatest swordsman!" Was Zoro's goal.
"I'm going to draw a map of the world!"
"I'm going to be a brave warrior of the sea!"
The two scaredy cats seemed to have forgotten that they were with a man eager as soon as it came to proclaiming their wishes.
Ogsa raked his foot onto the barrel, this was it, his life as a pirate. From now on, there would be adventures a plenty and many strong opponents to fight. His grin was big, showing off all his sharp fangs, "I am going to be the strongest. Be it man or beast, I will stand above them all as the strongest being in the seas"
In chorus, the entire crew said, "grandline, here we come!"
