Chapter 64 - "Lightning & Legends."

-----

Matou Residence.

The place had been completely turned into a war zone.

[Origin 10][Origin 12]

Minato watched with interest.

Come on, Goldie—use more treasure weapons!

"Damn that demon..."

Gilgamesh's forehead twitched with rage.

He didn't know why, but he had this nagging feeling that Minato was thinking something really annoying.

But those women—some of them were seriously dangerous.

He'd almost been hit several times already.

"This is gonna drag on forever at this rate…"

Artoria tightened her grip on her sword. She'd made up her mind.

If it came to it, she'd have to unleash her Noble Phantasm.

But just then, Minato's voice entered her ears.

"Hang in there a little longer, Artoria. Let my girls get more practice."

"…Got it, Master."

With a small sigh, Artoria kept fighting off the endless wave of weapons.

Time slowly ticked by.

The courtyard was already completely flattened.

In the middle of battle, Akame suddenly stumbled.

She was nearly out of mana.

After all, compared to the others, she hadn't been a demon for long.

She wasn't like Medusa or Genova—she didn't have a holy sword or legendary boost.

Buzz!

Just then, a magic circle lit up under her feet.

By the time she realized what was happening, she was already back at Minato's side.

"Don't push yourself too hard, okay?"

Minato gave her a gentle head pat and smiled. "If you're running low on mana... do you want a recharge?"

"R-Recharge...?"

Akame's face instantly turned bright red.

Of course, she knew exactly what "recharging" meant.

Without thinking, her eyes darted to Minato's lips.

If her sister could do it, then there's no reason she couldn't too.

With that thought in mind, she lifted her chin and nodded firmly. "Master, I need to recharge."

Right after saying it, she felt her whole body burning up with embarrassment.

Even though it was perfectly normal for a familiar to recharge through their master, saying it out loud like that still made her want to hide in a hole.

Minato chuckled softly and didn't make her wait long.

"Mmm…"

Akame curled her toes slightly.

So this is what recharging feels like?

It felt so good.

She could feel her mana coming back fast.

Watching from the sidelines, Utaha narrowed her eyes at the scene.

Damn it, why didn't I think of that?

She dropped down from above, faking a stumble, pretending to be weak as she made her way toward Minato.

Medusa, standing off to the side, was completely stunned.

Sneaky woman!

You'd never guess from her appearance…

She's clearly got plenty of mana left!

The way all these familiars were shamelessly fighting over Minato… honestly, it made her realize she'd been way too naïve.

A moment later—

Akame wiped her lips and returned to the battlefield, fully recharged.

"Master, my mana's running low too!"

Utaha came running over like a desperate puppy, looking up at Minato with big, pleading eyes.

As she leaned in close, her curves brushed against him — whether on purpose or not, it was hard to say.

Meeting her gaze, Minato just smiled.

When your familiar asks for a recharge, how could you possibly say no?

"You guys are too much."

Watching Minato recharge one familiar after another, Gilgamesh was suddenly furious.

That damn demon — he was completely ignoring him like he didn't even exist!

Enough was enough.

A ripple of golden light appeared, and a sword emerged from the Gate of Babylon.

But this sword was different — it looked kind of like a longsword, but instead of a blade, there were three cylindrical shapes twisted together like a drill.

The sword slowly started spinning, the spiral tip buzzing like it could tear through anything.

[Ea - Sword of Rupture, Enuma Elish]

Minato casually wiped the corner of his mouth and locked eyes with Gilgamesh.

After powering up, he could finally feel a bit of pressure.

He knew—

It wasn't Gilgamesh himself that was threatening.

It was that absurdly broken Noble Phantasm in his hand.

At the same time, Esdeath and the others had instinctively frozen in place.

That monstrous pressure — it made their skin crawl and their legs tremble.

"A mere demon… actually forced me to use this."

Gilgamesh stared coldly at Minato. "You should feel honored… even in death."

His voice echoed through the battlefield — and then he struck.

The twisted sword in his hand started spinning faster and faster.

VMMM!

The air around it rippled like water, and a massive red storm burst out from the blade.

It was like the whole world trembled.

"Enuma Elish — Sword of Rupture, Shatterer of Worlds!"

In the next instant, that sword unleashed a tidal wave of red energy that tore through the sky like a world-ending hurricane.

Wherever it passed—

Space itself cracked apart, leaving jagged, black rifts hanging in the air.

This was a true Anti-World Noble Phantasm.

A weapon said to have the power to cut reality itself.

Even among all the Holy Swords, Enuma Elish stood at the absolute top.

"Master, look out!"

The girls all screamed, faces going pale as they rushed to help.

But just as they were about to act, Minato turned and gave them a calm smile — telling them not to interfere.

And then—

He looked at the raging red storm coming his way, raised a hand casually, and just… waved.

Right then—

Minato finally showed his full strength.

The power of his Primordial Thunder Magic exploded in full force.

BOOM!

A torrent of golden lightning roared to life, stretching from the earth to the heavens, splitting the sky wide open.

Its overwhelming presence made the moon look dim, and the night sky turned as bright as midday.

KA-BOOM!

The red storm froze mid-air.

Then — like rotting wood meeting a wildfire — it was completely erased, crushed to nothing by that divine lightning.

"..."

Artoria stood frozen in shock.

On the other side, Waver stared blankly at the golden storm in the sky, completely dumbfounded.

Even Esdeath and the rest felt their hearts pounding, their minds totally blank.

That power… what even was that?

"Impossible! My Enuma Elish — how could it lose?!"

Gilgamesh shrieked, staring at the golden lightning bearing down on him like the end of the world.

That damn demon…

What kind of monster was he?

His ultimate Noble Phantasm — and it didn't even stand a chance?

"Damn it! I won't lose!"

Gilgamesh roared, summoning wave after wave of weapons from his treasury.

A literal flood of golden Noble Phantasms rained down toward Minato.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

But every single weapon — no matter how powerful — was instantly vaporized by the golden lightning, like moths flying into a bonfire.

In that brief moment of silence—

All Gilgamesh could do was watch helplessly as the lightning descended on him, unstoppable.
