"HP: Too Late, System!"Chapter 336: The First Lesson of Wizard Psychology—Learning to Coexist with Your Inner Wolf

The moment Daily Prophet reporters and photographers caught wind of the commotion, they made a beeline for Sirius. After all, it wasn't so long ago that rumors of Sirius being a werewolf had thrown the Wizarding World into a frenzy.

Later, the Ministry of Magic had stepped forward to clear Sirius's name, and everyone assumed the matter was settled. No one expected today's revelation to reignite the flames.

"Mr. Black, if I heard correctly just now, your friend, Professor Remus Lupin, just admitted to having werewolf heritage.

And only a few months ago, there were wild rumors that you yourself were a werewolf. Is there a connection between these incidents? Is this just a publicity stunt to attract attention? Or is all of this true?"

A Quick-Quotes Quill scratched furiously across the interview parchment.

Sirius never took his eyes off Lupin on the stage. At the reporter's question, he spared the man a brief glance before returning his gaze to the podium.

"During work hours, please address me by my official title—Director of Academic Affairs, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry."

"Uh, right, Director Black."

Sirius nodded, satisfied. If only he had a cup of tea at hand, he could have struck the perfect bureaucratic pose, just like Douglas.

"As for what's true or false, just keep listening to Remus and you'll find out. Let me ask you, though—if a werewolf were working at Hogwarts, what do you suppose the consequences would be?"

"That would be absolutely unbelievable! A dangerous werewolf, surrounded by so many young witches and wizards—every full moon... How could Dumbledore dare? How many students would be at risk?"

Sirius fished a stack of parchment from his pocket, his tone casual.

"In all these years, have you ever heard of a single werewolf attack at Hogwarts? Judging by your age, I'd wager you were at school around the same time as us, weren't you?"

The reporter took the parchment, replying on instinct, "No, I haven't. Which is exactly why I wonder if this is just another one of your stunts. I heard the Ministry paid quite a price last time to apologize—like the creation of the Academic Affairs Office. I don't want to become collateral in your political games. What's this—Remus Lupin's Daily Work Assessment Report?"

Sirius crossed his legs, a smug grin spreading across his face.

"Funny you should ask. Not long ago, I conducted a thorough assessment of every staff member at the school.

There are teaching reports from the professors, and work evaluations from other staff. Every assessment was submitted freely by colleagues and students.

This report records, honestly and in their own words, what Hogwarts staff and students think of Remus."

The reporter eyed Sirius, cursing inwardly. "Funny you should ask"? This was clearly all planned in advance. He even suspected this was a calculated move by Dumbledore to test the Ministry. There was no way Lupin's revelation was a spur-of-the-moment confession—it was a carefully orchestrated plan.

He flipped through the report: nearly every student, even the Slytherins—though their praise was veiled in pride—expressed respect for this Gryffindor-born "professor." The faculty, fully aware of Lupin's secret, still gave fair, genuine evaluations. Headmaster Dumbledore himself had called Lupin a "lubricant" between the four Houses.

"Clearly, when no one knew his background, everyone loved Remus. But now—look at these students' reactions. Think about your own, before and after learning the truth."

"Prejudice in people's hearts is a mountain," Sirius said quietly.

While the two conversed, the students up front were embroiled in their own debate. Members of the Charon Detective Agency boasted they'd known for ages, arguing with those still shaken by the news.

"Oh, so the Professor finally told everyone himself."

"We've been dying to spill! Look at you lot, all jumpy. We've known for months."

"That used to be the Agency's top secret!"

"Not anymore. I think it's time we ask the president to choose a new secret for us all to share."

"What do you think, Vice President Ron?"

"Has Professor Lupin ever hurt any of you?"

"Have you ever seen Professor Lupin transform into a werewolf?"

"Actually, no. Every full moon, he's always taught as usual—never missed a class."

"Maybe we misheard? Maybe he just said 'if' he had werewolf blood?"

"I swear on the name of Charon Detective Agency President, the Savior Harry Potter—Professor Lupin really is a werewolf. We've known for ages. If it's not true, our president will get zero on all his exams."

"Harry's shivering in the exam hall! Ha!"

Lupin simply smiled, watching the discussion unfold. There were voices of doubt, fear, and support—but not a single student left their seat.

He glanced up, catching sight of Dumbledore in the far corner of the stands, the Headmaster watching him with a warm, approving smile.

Dumbledore had agreed to Lupin's public revelation partly because Douglas's version of the Wolfsbane Potion was now a proven success—both in theory and in practice.

But more than that, it was something Douglas had once said:

"We can't use one person's sacrifice to change how others see them… using the last scraps of pity to declare someone a 'good man' for a fleeting moment…"

Lupin checked the time and cleared his throat softly.

"Ahem. I'm truly glad none of you stormed out in fear. Shall we continue? I'll leave plenty of time for discussion at the end—and I'll join in myself."

"Remember, a Boggart takes the form of what you fear most. But once you learn to laugh at it, that fear becomes nothing more than a joke.

But sometimes, the Boggarts in our hearts are far trickier. They become voices of self-doubt: 'You're not strong enough.' 'You're different.' 'No one will ever understand you.'"

"As a werewolf, I've been tormented by those voices countless times—believing I was nothing but a shadow in the Hogwarts corridors, a monster who didn't belong."

"Pure-blood arrogance, prejudice against 'non-humans,' the lingering shadow of Dark Magic—these invisible curses can hurt more than the Cruciatus Curse ever could."

"But Headmaster Dumbledore once told me: 'True darkness isn't the transformation beneath the moon, but the refusal to look yourself in the eye.'"

"So, real courage isn't hiding your scars…"

"The first lesson of wizard psychology is this: learn to coexist with your inner wolf.

Many of you may feel inferior because you can't master a spell, anxious about your family's bloodline, or cry into your four-poster after a failed Potions class.

But remember: every potion in Hogwarts' dungeons has bubbled over at least once. Even unicorns in the Forbidden Forest shiver and lick their wounds in the rain.

True strength begins with admitting your own vulnerability—just as a Pensieve helps us untangle our memories, confiding in someone you trust opens a window for your soul to breathe."

"And you, all of you, are the people I trust most. In this very first lesson, I've shared my own vulnerability with you, hoping to set an example."

"When the cauldron of society starts to bubble, don't forget you carry even stronger potions in your pockets: Ravenclaw's wit, Hufflepuff's kindness, Gryffindor's defiance, Slytherin's resilience. The four House crests shining on your chests are the greatest answer to division."
