The morning sunlight barely touched the floor of the shared bedroom before Andrew was already draped over Tina's shoulder, arms clinging like velcro. His golden-brown hair was a mess, hazel eyes blinking slowly, but the sass hadn't left them.
"I'm awake."
He announced, voice muffled into her silver hair.
"Don't get any ideas. I'm only here because… well… I don't trust the floor alone."
Tina snorted, dangling a sock over his head like a playful threat.
"You're ridiculous, you know that? Floors are not dangerous."
"They could be!"
Andrew protested, squirming in her grip.
"Especially when I'm pregnant. You wouldn't want me to fall off this bed, would you?"
Vanilla-mint swirled around him in distracting waves as she laughed. Tina loved mornings like this, chaotic and sweet, where Andrew's honey pheromones clashed beautifully against her own. She lifted her head, smirk widening.
"Pregnant AND sassy? That's a dangerous combo, Andy."
"I know."
He said, smirk returning.
