Chapter 189 - Takigakure's Guide

Mei Terumī had a strange look on her face. She gently tapped the table twice with her hand and slowly said:

"Are you sure the other party is the leader of Taki Village? And this person named Shemu, what is their strength like?"

Ao's expression froze, and he quickly and respectfully replied:

"Because the location of Takigakure is somewhat special, the Anbu members have always been paying attention. I just specifically checked the intelligence. This person named Shemu's father was the leader of Takigakure, but he is now dead."

"According to the system of such small Ninja Villages, there is no 'Kage'. After the leader dies, the position of leader is generally inherited sequentially, which means Shemu is indeed the current leader of Takigakure."

Ao paused slightly here, then continued:

"We haven't actually fought, so we can't know their specific strength, but based on my judgment, their strength is not strong."

Yūto listened quietly to Ao's words, with an amused expression on his face, and said:

"Takigakure should be the closest to Konoha, so why would they come to our Hidden Mist Village to post a mission?"

As Yūto spoke, Mei Terumī's gaze also turned towards him. Clearly, Mei Terumī was also somewhat curious.

"According to Shemu's original words, he did originally plan to go to Konoha to post the mission, but there was a great battle in Konoha some time ago, and the other major Ninja Villages also suffered varying degrees of loss."

"So, in the end, he chose our Village."

When Ao said this, he gave Yūto a strange look before quickly withdrawing his gaze.

Yūto couldn't help but be stunned, a hint of awkwardness appearing on his face.

A smile appeared at the corner of Mei Terumī's mouth, and her gaze fell on Ao again:

"If it's just this, you shouldn't have needed to report it to me specifically, right?"

Ao nodded and continued seriously:

"The mission they posted is a C-rank escort mission, but based on the Anbu's intelligence, it's at least a B-rank mission."

"More importantly, there is a Hidden Rain Village unit hidden around Takigakure at the moment, seemingly in conflict with Takigakure. The leaders of this Hidden Rain unit are Kiriume and Bing Yu from Hidden Rain Village."

"As for their purpose and specific intelligence, due to the limited number of Anbu personnel, we are currently unable to ascertain."

Ao stopped here and bowed slightly towards Yūto.

"Haha, it seems this matter is related to Hidden Rain Village."

Yūto couldn't help but chuckle, an amused expression on his face.

Others might not be clear, but Ao, as the Anbu leader, knew that Hidden Rain Village currently had close ties with Hidden Mist Village in secret.

In a way, the Hidden Rain Village Ninja were allies, and the mission itself was very likely to lead to conflict with their own people.

Of course, this was just one layer of meaning.

There was a more important point: the Ninja of Hidden Rain Village were taking action against Takigakure.

But about this matter, their Kirigakure had not received any intelligence from Hidden Rain Village.

"Chōjūrō, go find Konan and have her come here."

Yūto turned his head to look at Chōjūrō beside him and said with a light smile.

Chōjūrō nodded respectfully and quickly turned to leave.

As for Konan, Yūto had no suspicion whatsoever. Konan had no reason to do this, nor would it serve any purpose.

Not long after, Konan, with a cool expression, slowly walked in from outside the door.

After Konan entered, she nodded lightly towards Yūto, then remained indifferent, showing no intention of speaking first.

Mei Terumī didn't mind, as Konan was also the hidden leader of the entire Hidden Rain Village and represented Hidden Rain Village itself.

"Ao, give Miss Konan a general overview of the mission from earlier."

Mei Terumī looked at Ao and said softly.

As Ao spoke, Konan's expression remained calm, but her eyebrows furrowed slightly.

"Kiriume and Bing Yu were expelled from Hidden Rain Village long ago. These two are now rogue Ninja. I don't know exactly what they want to do."

Konan said with a calm expression.

"If that's the case, then this matter is easy to handle."

A thoughtful look flashed in Mei Terumī's eyes, and she turned to look towards Yūto.

"Just when I was feeling sleepy, someone came to deliver a pillow, and the person delivering it is the leader of Takigakure."

Saying this, Yūto couldn't help but laugh.

Originally, Yūto had planned to go to Takigakure to obtain the Seven-Tails' Chakra first, as Takigakure was a small Village and wouldn't cause too much commotion.

The only thing that made Yūto feel troublesome was that Takigakure was hidden within a huge waterfall.

Without someone from Takigakure to lead the way, it would probably be extremely difficult to find the specific entrance to Takigakure.

And now, the guide from Takigakure had personally delivered himself to their doorstep.

"I'll go on this mission myself. Oh, and Konan, you should come with me. We can also deal with those people from your Hidden Rain Village. I'm quite curious about their purpose."

Yūto said to Konan with a faint smile on his face.

Konan was slightly startled, then nodded, her expression calm: "Okay."

As Yūto's voice fell, a look of unknown meaning flashed in Mei Terumī's eyes and landed on Konan.

After carefully examining Konan for a moment, Mei Terumī withdrew her gaze.

Hidden Rain Village.

In an extremely hidden underground chamber.

Zetsu, with his black and white halves, and Obito, were standing beside Uchiha Madara.

Black Zetsu had a calm expression, quietly watching Uchiha Madara, who was sitting cross-legged on top of the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path's head in front of him.

Meanwhile, White Zetsu's eyes kept darting around, and half of his body occasionally swayed back and forth.

"Besides the Three-Tails and Six-Tails in Kirigakure, and the Nine-Tailed in Konoha, I need to know the exact locations of all the other tailed beasts."

Uchiha Madara slowly turned his head to look at White Zetsu beside him and said calmly.

"Yes, Lord Uchiha Madara, I'll go do it now."

White Zetsu's face lit up, and he quickly said. After speaking, his entire body quickly sank into the ground and disappeared.

Shortly after Zetsu left, a terrifying aura erupted from Uchiha Madara, quickly pressing down on Obito.

Obito's entire body trembled, a large amount of sweat continuously poured from his forehead, and his back was instantly soaked.

But soon, this terrifying aura disappeared, as if it had never appeared.

"I hope this time, you won't disappoint me again."

Uchiha Madara's cold voice reached Obito's ears, causing Obito to let out a slight sigh of relief deep down.
