Chapter 26 - The First Genius!

As he reminisced about his good memory with his siblings on the day before he died in his previous life, Ash unknowingly teared up as he was lost in one of the best memories he had with his siblings.

"Big Brother Ash, Did Mei Mei eat too much? I will stop, okay? So, please stop being sad." Xiao Mei innocently licked her fingers and nudged Ash's arm with a worried expression, thinking that she ate too much and made Ash cry.

Ash regained his composure, laughing heartily as he wiped away his tears. "Xiao Mei, it's not because you eat too much. You don't need to worry about anything, just eat to your heart's content and don't worry about anything."

"Really? Why are you crying, then?" Xiao Mei became excited, looking at Ash cutely.

"Hmmph! Who's crying? My eyes are just sweating profusely, that's all." Ash snorted and flicked her forehead softly.

"Sweating profusely, my ass." Aetherion rolled his eyes when he heard it.

Subsequently, they spent almost two hours for all of them to eat to the fullest.

Xiao Mei leaned on Ash, resting her hands on her belly as if she was full and couldn't eat anymore.

Ash shook his head helplessly when he saw this. He then patted her head softly. "Mei Mei, can you lean on the chair? I want to go to the restroom first."

"Ehhh?" Xiao Mei looked at Ash lazily before realizing something and said. "Me too, me too."

"Alright, show me where the restroom is then." Ash smiled.

Xiao Mei opened her arms cutely, asking to be carried as she replied. "Okayyy!"

Ash happily carried Xiao Mei and went toward the restroom.

Looking at the squat toilet in front of him, he thought to himself. 'This is the best spot when you want to think about a lot of things as the inspirations flow without any blockade.'

As he squatted, Ash thought about various things, such as his future plan, especially when it came to the Main Mission, since it was the most important step that he needed to go through.

Even though it could be said that this mission was already guaranteed to be in his bag, he just wanted to complete it in a way that he didn't suffer any losses from completing it.

The biggest loss that he didn't want to bear in order to complete the mission was to let Aetherion open his seal. Not only that, but he also didn't want to let Li Jian use his special physique abilities and get the severe backlash or even sacrifice himself from it.

That's why he must think about another way because Aetherion himself had reminded him that he might be able to do it without suffering any losses.

However, he didn't tell him about it and only said that the chance would depend on his abilities at that time. This made Ash question himself, as he had a guess but couldn't confirm it due to the fact that he didn't even know the situation inside.

After thinking about it for a few minutes, Ash finally had a grip on what he needed to do, as he had come up with a plan.

Subsequently, Ash checked his personal information because he also wanted to check the massive rewards he had gotten from killing the trio of the Qiu family.

The reason why his system points decreased massively was because Ash found that the current numbers were already too much, and he knew that in no time, those numbers were going to increase massively again since there would be a battle between saints when he had reached the Core Area of the secret realm.

The numbers were divided by 1 trillion, meaning that 1 diamond point had become 1 silver. Not only that, if he were to kill someone and get the rewards below the value of 1 trillion (before), it won't be counted at all, not even being accumulated.

However, there was at least a compensation, as the system explained that he didn't need to pay for upgrading his own rank if the consumption was below 1 diamond (before).

Ash decided to not upgrade the system points since he already had a plan in mind, and if it worked according to his plan, he might be able to harvest more points.

Stepping out of the bathroom, he noticed Xiao Mei talking to a young man about 18 years old with a decent build in the restaurant's backyard.

Weirdly enough, the young man acted as if he was practicing a simple swordsmanship movement using a broom, slashing the broom downward in a straight line from above his head as though aiming to split everything in front of him.

The moment he looked at the young man, he was shocked and opened his eyes wide before coming back to his senses when he felt someone tap his shoulder.

"He's not bad at all. In fact, I'm quite surprised to meet someone like him in this small place." Aetherion chuckled.

"Me too, I have never expected to find such a peerless talent in this small restaurant." Ash nodded in agreement at Aetherion's words.

Aetherion rolled his eyes, thinking to himself. 'What I meant by this place was not this restaurant, but the whole world.'

Looking at the notifications in front of him, Ash was determined to recruit him at all costs, even if it meant resorting to some unethical methods.

[Ding! You have detected a genius at the Red- rank.]

According to the system, talent ranks were divided into 9 levels: White / Yellow / Orange / Red / Green / Cyan / Blue / Purple / Golden.

F rank was the lowest, while Golden rank was the highest. Additionally, each rank was further divided into sub-categories:

Red–, Red, and Red+

The '–' indicated the lowest tier within the rank, while the '+' represented the highest.
