"The Sun Moon Continent, and it's currently in the midst of a massive war!"
After carefully studying all the faction names marked on the leather map of the Sun Moon Continent, Ignaz reached a rough conclusion.
The current Sun Moon Continent was experiencing a period similar to the Warring States era - a chaotic time of competing powers vying for dominance. Moreover, in this war, a family called Xu had already gained the upper hand. Based on their territorial expansion, Ignaz estimated that within fifteen years at most, the Sun Moon Continent would inevitably be unified under their rule.
"So this is the crucial moment when the Sun Moon Continent moves toward unification."
The more Ignaz thought about it, the more excited he became. Wars meant countless deaths, which in turn meant unlimited blood essence for him to absorb. At this moment, his temperament was gradually being influenced by the killing intent, causing him to laugh maniacally.
"All those people on the Sun Moon Continent should serve as nourishment for my blood essence!"
But in the next instant, a wave of blue-gold spirit power energy pulled Ignaz back from his delirium. He shook his head continuously, trying to keep himself lucid.
"When the Sun Moon Continent erupts into war, many new types of spirit tools will be created. This period is also an excellent time for the explosive development of spirit tool technology on the Sun Moon Continent."
With this new train of thought, Ignaz's inner excitement and agitation completely vanished, replaced instead by a faint sense of crisis.
Judging from everything he'd seen in the storage spirit tool, the Swift Wind Dog he'd killed very likely came from the Sun Moon Continent. This meant that some "spies" had appeared on the Douluo Continent. Presumably, there were still quite a few Sun Moon Continent "spy" groups outside the Slaughter City.
With this realization, Ignaz knew he had to make his move early. He wouldn't join the Spirit Hall himself, but he absolutely couldn't pin the hope of continental unification on the Spirit Hall alone.
You have to rely on yourself to forge iron - a far-sighted plan was quietly taking shape in Ignaz's mind.
However, to achieve any of this, he had to leave Slaughter City first.
"If that's the case, then I'll continue the slaughter. I want to see when this so-called King of Slaughter will finally let me out."
Just as Ignaz left his dwelling and was stretching his body, a man with blood-red wings and red armor hovered in the very center of the Slaughter City.
He looked down at the citizens below who had emerged from their hiding places, wailing throughout the streets, and the countless destroyed buildings and roads. The King of Slaughter glared furiously at Ignaz, who was meeting his gaze from below.
He desperately wanted to completely crush this Immortal White Demon before him, but he couldn't. Everything that #16258 had done fell within the permitted rules of the Slaughter City.
If he, the King of Slaughter and ruler of the Slaughter City, actively killed a fallen one, how could he manage the Slaughter City in the future? Would that presence in his mind spare him?
Since #16258 had not only survived the siege of numerous fallen spirit masters but had also counter-killed over 7,300 people, this proved his capabilities.
"#16258, you are the most powerful outsider I have ever encountered. Today, I bestow upon you the title of Immortal White Demon."
The many devoutly faithful fallen ones below were shocked to hear the King of Slaughter's words.
"Shouldn't someone who receives a personal title from the King of Slaughter have achieved a hundred victories in the Hell Slaughter Arena? The White Demon hasn't achieved a hundred victories - this isn't fair! This is too arbitrary!"
"What's unfair about it? I just hope this White Demon leaves Slaughter City quickly. If he doesn't leave soon, my sanity will collapse."
"Right, right! The King of Slaughter didn't give him the title of Slaughter God or open the Road to Hell, so it looks like this White Demon still has to stay here. We're in for some rough times ahead."
...
On the streets of the Slaughter City, numerous fallen spirit masters were filled with terror and knelt down together.
One particularly bold and arrogant high-level fallen spirit master looked toward the King of Slaughter's direction and shouted loudly:
"We beseech the King of Slaughter to bestow the title of Slaughter God upon the White Demon and have him leave the Slaughter City immediately!"
This one person's brave act immediately resonated deep in the hearts of all the fallen spirit masters, and they cried out in unison:
"Your countless subjects petition you - may the White Demon depart soon and return peaceful life to us!"
When these words were spoken, not only was Ignaz completely dumbfounded, but even the airborne King of Slaughter was equally stunned. He looked gravely at his devout subjects below.
Although these subjects had lost their fighting spirit, with their sincere pleas, opening the Road to Hell for Ignaz wouldn't count as breaking the rules.
"In response to the earnest requests of my many subjects, today I bestow upon the Immortal White Demon the title of 'Slaughter God' and make an exception to open the Road to Hell for you."
After a moment's hesitation, Ignaz immediately called out loudly toward the King of Slaughter:
"King of Slaughter, I've heard that for those qualified to attempt the Road to Hell, you usually offer another reward option of becoming a Crimson Elder. I want to leave immediately - I don't want to brave any Road to Hell."
Upon hearing this, the King of Slaughter erupted with unprecedented spirit power pressure, applying enough force to nearly make Ignaz prostrate himself.
"How dare you! How dare you bargain with this king's grace!"
His true purpose was to have Ignaz completely eliminated by the two spirit beasts in the Road to Hell. After killing so many people, he still wanted an elder position? Absolutely impossible.
The King of Slaughter flashed before Ignaz, lifted him up, and quickly rushed to the interior of the Hell Slaughter Arena.
At the same time, many of the fallen ones who had been kneeling on the ground stood up, long-lost smiles appearing on their faces.
"The White Demon's finally getting lost! We don't have to live in fear anymore!"
"I'm going to drink three cups of Bloody Mary to celebrate properly!"
"Quick, let's go to the Hell Slaughter Arena - I want to personally witness the White Demon's departure!"
...
Quite a few fallen spirit masters rushed to the Hell Slaughter Arena. Looking at these ignorant fallen spirit masters, Ignaz couldn't help but sigh.
"What a pity! All this blood essence is now completely beyond my reach."
As the King of Slaughter spread his wings and soared high, he solemnly declared:
"The Road to Hell now opens - let all subjects present cheer to their hearts' content!"
As soon as he finished speaking, the gates of the Hell Slaughter Arena quickly sealed shut. The red eyes of the ten circular dark gold bat statues outside the slaughter platform opened in sequence.
All the fallen spirit masters outside the arena transformed into wisps of white energy that flowed into the mouths of the dark gold bat statues. Suddenly, a blood-red whirlpool appeared on the arena floor, drawing Ignaz into it.
"White Demon, without your spirit abilities this time, you won't have the same luck as before. Death is your final destination."
With these words, the King of Slaughter vanished from the Hell Slaughter Arena, returning to his palace to enjoy watching the scenes unfold in the Road to Hell.
