Ikai Liu (Kai Liu)
The name given to the body in which Min Jae was reborn. A wanderer with no past and no future. Considered dead by all who knew him in his previous life.
The Sun
Not a luminary, but an essence. An ancient will that found Ikai in the desert and implanted a fragment of a star in his heart. It doesn't speak, but it influences. It doesn't save, but it chooses. It's unclear whether it's a god, an essence, or an evil force.
A Fragment of a Star
A distorted fragment of supernatural origin, implanted in the heart of the Wild. It is alive. It grows. Through it, the Limbs are revealed, manifestations of supernatural power.
The Star's Extremities
The mystical stages of evolution of the Shard's bearer. Each is a new sensation, change and power, but also a step towards madness. In Arc I, the Extremities are not awakened, but the signs of the Eye are already felt.
Relic
A supernatural imprint of the past, absorbed into a place, object, or body. May contain the residual will, pain, knowledge, memories, or emotions of ancient beings. Affects star bearers - may whisper, show images, drive them mad, or grant them insight.
Gretal Desert
The lifeless land where Ikai first awakened. The ashes in this desert do not settle—they breathe. The sand does not store, but consumes. It is said that Gretal was once a city, but now it is only a path between oblivion and death.
The Caravan of the Blind
A wandering group of fanatics, all of whom are blind. They believe in the Sun, but they cannot see it. They believe that "true light is within." They accept Ikai as a "vessel," but they are not unanimous in this belief.
Coffin-Jar
A primitive magical relic. Inside it is a residual Relic. Sometimes used for sacrifices, sometimes for communication with the departed. Forbidden in cities, but widely used in the desert.
★ Awakenings Star Carrier Map★
(also known as Constellation Table, Beginning Stone, Dusty Scheme)
An ancient artifact-recording, fixed on a stone slab, in the form of a diagram of ten star lines radiating from the central circle - the Heart of the Star. Each line contains the names of those who have worn or are wearing the star - the living and the dead.
It resembles an astrological chart, but each dot represents a name, each line represents a path, and each blank space represents death or disappearance.
★Features:
Names only appear when the bearer awakens at least one Limb.
If the bearer dies or disappears, their name is either crossed out or disappears, depending on what happened to them.
Sometimes, the same name appears twice, hinting at rebirth, repetition, or the intervention of a star.
At the edges of the map, there are 20 closed stars associated with the myth of the "Constellation of the Closed Gods."
(at the moment in the novel there is one empty star ( in the heart of Ikai ) and it can have 10 limbs ( awakenings ) but there is a myth-legend about the "Constellation of the Closed Gods" it means that if someone reaches the last awakening of the 10th limb, then 20 more empty constellations will open, reaching the last one can become a God...but for now only myths and legends are told about it.
