Hey guys, im going to be honest im having trouble making chapters for all my fics(mostly depression and adhd), but I'm trying to get back into writing.
Anyways onto the chapter.

(Inheritance universe, unknown tomb)
"Where…where am I?"
I woke up In what looked like a tomb, with columns surrounding me, torches lighting up the entire room, yet I felt like I was being watched.
"Okay…I remember being in a card shop with Rin and Ren…and Ren…he gave the owner of the shop a coin to fit us with new decks…and we got pushed in and as we fell…I think I saw Rin turn to sparkly dust…Wait what happened to Rin?!!" I said panicking as I remember everything up to that point, it wasn't possible! 'Did Ren betray us? But he said he wanted to help us, does that mean…'
*Smack*
"No! Ren helped us, there's no way he would betray us now!!" I say to myself as I smack my cheeks, getting rid of my negative thoughts, and with a shaky breath I slowly get up and cautiously look at the room around me, I saw that the walls showed pictures, with what looked like a king facing his priest, with images of monsters.
"This looks like an ancient duel… but why was I sent here?" I ask to myself, as I try looking deeper, but before I could move further someone spoke right behind me.
"Because the duel spirits saw you as worthy."(???)
I turn around with my fists raised, I know im not much of a fighter, but whoever spoke wouldn't know that, "Who's there?! Show yourself!" I shout into the corridor, expecting whatever spoke to walk away from me, but all I heard was a chuckle and the sound of footsteps.
I narrow my eyes as I see the person's features more and more clearly, the person looked like a young adult similar to Ren's age, he wore what looked like a black leather jacket, with long skinny jeans and a weird necklace on my neck, and his hair looked like kind of like a starfish.
(Pharaoh in the house!)
"Greetings, I am the master of this tomb, my name is Atem, but you can call me pharaoh." He said to me as I felt myself relax around this man, he had this…feeling about him, like he would make sure everything was alright, like Ren.
"M…my name is Lulu, so why did they see me as worthy? I'm just…me." I ask the pharaoh as he gives me a serious look before opening his mouth, "because despite what you see as your weaknesses, you have the heart to take on the challenges that come your way." He explains as I listen to every word he says.
"My partner was like you at first, weak but had the will to keep fighting even when the odds were stacked against him. We fought against a flamboyant business mogul who liked the spice girls and cartoons, an man with an evil split personality who liked to stab people, a digital remnant of a lost son, a guy from Atlantis with a speech impediment, even our show's cancellation."
"Im sorry what was that last one?"(lulu)
"Don't worry about it. But what im saying is even with my partner's weaknesses, he was about to fight against the odds and went from someone who needed me to a duelist who could stand on his own, and my duel spirits see that in you. They see my partner." He explains as I look at him with a confused expression.
"So…I remind them of your partner?" I sum up as the pharaoh nods and I give a tired sigh, "okay then can you give me an explanation of what happens next?" I ask him as he smiles.
"To gain my power, you must face seven great trials, with the three Egyptian gods, obelisk the tormentor, slifer the sky dragon, and the winged dragon of ra as your witnesses, you must enter six different rooms, in each room there is a millennium item tied to me, and you must face each trial and overcome it." He pauses as he looks at me.
"In each room the people who have used the millennium items will conduct tests to see if you are worthy of holding the items, but a word of caution, the last three trials hold the evil side of the millennium items, they will try and corrupt you, make you lose yourself, so you must face each trial with all your heart, any questions?"(Pharaoh)
"Wait… you said there were seven great trials, but you only said there were six rooms, what about the seventh trial?" I ask the pharaoh as he grins and jabs a thumb at himself, "because I am the seventh trial." He states as he then turns and points toward a door, "now go, your trial has begun." He says as he walks past me as takes a seat in what looks like a throne.
(A/n she needs to face all seven users of the millennium items, I thought this would be the best trial idea for the king of games/pharaoh)
"Okay, it's going to be okay." I assure myself as I begin walking toward the door, I could hear my heart hammering against my rib cage as I notice the shadows clawing at my own shadow, as if trying to drag me into its depths, yet as I pass through the doorway and I see a woman with a weird necklace seated, her eyes closed as if she were asleep, but as I take a step forward I felt like she was watching me.
"Um…hello?" I cautiously say, expecting her not to answer, but as I moved closer she opens her eyes, "hello miss Lulu, I have been expecting you." The woman says as I take a closer look at her, she was quite beautiful, tan skins that shone like bronze, her black hair smooth and silky.
"Now then, let's begin your trial against fate."

Yeah im making this a six parter due to wanting to make a chapter for each trial, but I hope you all enjoy this chapter, I'll try to make another chapter next week, but I hope you all are okay with this arrangement.
Also I couldn't find any good images of Merlin and Morgan le fay, so I'm just going to use FGO magicians(with a couple outliers) to make the cards, but I hope you can agree to this.
Peace😁✌️
