Chapter 10 - MEETING MILLIE

Olivia's POV

Days have passed really fast. And I have been avoiding Marcus. I prepare breakfast as early as I could, lunch only on weekends, also early and dinner, the same.

At school, even though we have the same schedule, I avoid him to as much as possible, since he made it clear that he doesn't want to see my face. I would gladly leave the house but then again, Mr. and Mrs. Anderson is still not back for two months.

I sighed. I look at my salad and kept poking it.

"You're murdering your salad"

Someone said and I look up to see a girl.

"Uhhh, Hi to you too" I say and chuckled

"May I?" she asks

"No problem"

"I'm Millie Michaelson" she says "Hi Millie, I'm Olivia Arnolds" I say smiling

"I'm new here. You don't have anyone right now, should I be avoiding you? Or someone?"

I chuckled "Nah, I just don't have friends. And the only friend I have is in training, football" "So, a dude? Nice"

"Yeah. And he is not my boyfriend"

"Yet" she says winking at me

I chuckled and shook my head. "No girl is ever friends with a boy huh?"

"Yeah, no." "Not true, he is a friend"

"But clearly you like him" she says

I didn't answer. I just didn't know yet. Maybe I do? Or maybe I just loved the idea of having someone and having my back. I had no friends at all. I now started to think why I don't have friends.

"Millie, you just have to avoid Cora. Alright?" I say

"Uhhh, the B*tch"

I chuckled "So you know"

"Yeah, she might have introduced herself and told me to stay away from, uhmmm what was his name again" she kept thinking

"Marcus Anderson" I say

"Yeah that's the guy"

"She likes to pretend as if she is his girlfriend. And you're pretty and hot, so I guess, she's threatened" "Thanks sweetheart" she chuckled, I like her, she's easy to get along with

"I know that Marcus is handsome and hot, I saw him earlier but not really my type"

I nod. "Well, since you want to be friends with me, you should know that I work for the Anderson's and living at their house right now. Baby Sitting the Badboy" I sighed

"Oooh, I know this kind of story, later on, you'll fall in love and be with each other" she says

I threw a leaf of my salad "As if"

She just laughed and we continued to conversate in about many things. It turned out we both have different schedule but it works.

After our class, we meet on the bench outside and walked home. Her house is further away from school but manageable for a walk.

I enter the house and then my phone started ringing.

I put my things down and headed for the kitchen to cook. I put my phone on loud speaker and continued to prepare for dinner.

"Hello"

"Olivia" "Oh hey Kelvin. You called?"

"Uhh yeah, practice was cancelled tomorrow, so it was fine to use our phones. How are you?"

"Doing good. I met a friend. Millie was her name, you have to meet her soon""That's great, at least you have someone to talk to"

"Yeah I know. I kinda miss someone to talk to during lunch and breaks"

He chuckled "So, I guess, its safe to say you miss me?"

"I do. I really do" I blurted out He went silent.

"Uhhh, Kelvin? What I meant was I miss you as a friend. You get me right?"

"Uhh yeah, of course, yeah. I miss you too as a friend. Well, we'll head out for dinner. Call you again tomorrow if it's okay?"

"Yeah sure. Goodbye Kelvin. Have a good Night"

"You too Olivia"

Then he hung up.

"You've been avoiding me"

I didn't look, I know for fact that it's Marcus. I continued cooking.

"Olivia"

I sighed "You clearly said, you don't want to see my face. So, I'm doing you a favor aren't I?"

"I didn't mean that" "Well, I heard what I heard. Besides, it's fine. Forget what I told you, maybe I was just dreaming or something. Dinner will be ready in five." I said I stir the sauce I was making

I don't even know what am I cooking. I'm just experimenting, like I often do and turns out good.

He sighed "I did say that. I didn't know why" He admitted

"So, you did. Don't you think it's a little late to talk about it now?"

"Olivia, I'm so---" I cut him off "It's fine" I chuckled "I'm not mad, so you don't need to say sorry. I just don't want to talk about it, I forgot about it not until you mentioned it again now"

He didn't say anything. So, I served the food and I sat away from him. Not opposite not beside. At the other end of the table.

I was half way done when I felt him staring at me. "Say what you want to say"

"Olivia, I----" he paused

I sighed and continued eating. I was about to stand. When my phone beeped. It was a message from Kelvin telling me to rest early. I smiled "You'll regret the day you moved in into this house" he said and threw the plate on the ground with the food

What did I do again? It was him who did wrong.

I rolled my eyes at his disappearing figure. He was okay a while ago. I must say, maybe he's a psycho or something. Geez, he needs help.

I sighed and clean up the mess he made.

------

Morning came, and it's just another good morning. I yawn and got off of my bed. I open my curtain and headed straight to shower. Once I was done, I thought maybe I could clean the house for a bit and stay in the park, since, no classes today.

I made my way downstairs, and boy was I wrong for saying that I would have a good morning. Everything is a mess. Spills everywhere, crumbs all over the floor, even some plates are on different tables.

I gritted my teeth. Marcus.

"What the hell happened?!?" I shout as I stomped my way down

"Good you're awake. Clean this place up. I was a bit messy. Will be home a little late" he says and drinks water, then took his keys and went out.

I hate him even more. So, I started cleaning everything. It was past lunch when I finish up.

"That was so tiring." I say and took a bite on a sandwich, since I didn't have time to cook for myself.

I check the time and it was already 3 in the afternoon. Wow, I managed. And here I am still alive and well.

After eating, I rested a bit then took a shower again. I cooked something for him for dinner, since as much as I don't want to, I have to because I am baby-sitting him.

---I left some lasagna in the fridge, just heat it up and you can eat that for dinner. I would also be home a little late.

-Olivia----

I left him a note on the table. I was too nice on that letter, am I? but like what I said, I'd kill him with kindness.

It was already quarter to five when I got out of the house and I went straight for the playground.

I sat on the swing and took out my book to read.

"Hi" I hear a sweet little voice

I put down my book and look at her.

"Hello there, can I help you with anything?" I ask

She shakes her head and gives me a piece of petal from her rose.

"My dad gave my mom flowers and I took one" she says

"Well, thank you for the petal, I would totally keep it." I tell her and put it at the back of my phone case together with one petal from Kelvin weeks ago.

She stares at me.

"You're really pretty but I haven't seen you before" I tell her

"We just moved here!" she cheerfully answers "Oh, that's great!" I answer then her mom came

"I'm sorry about her"

"Oh no, she's cute. She didn't disturb me in anyway." I answer

Then she said thank you to me and I didn't even know why. The little girl waved at me goodbye with her little hands.

After that I continued, reading my book with a smile on my face. When it was dark, I put my book back in my bag and just played on the swing for a little while.

I stare at the night sky "Hey Dad, how are you up there? Me and mom are doing just fine, I wish you didn't leave us early."

I sighed. I stayed like that for while and then decided to go home.

Once I enter the house Marcus was waiting.

"Where the hell have you been?" he asked angrily

I didn't answer and just walked past him.

"I'm fucking talking to you!" he says again and I stopped, turn to him.

"I needed sometime alone after what you have done today. I needed to relax, so will you please stop? I made you dinner, which, I can see very clearly that you ate. So, what do you need now Mr. Anderson?" I asked him

"I was fucking wo-----" he stopped and I raised my eyebrows "I'm going to get punished if something happens to you, did you think that through idiot?"

"What happens to me is my problem. I don't see why you would get in trouble for that" I answer back "You know what? If you really scared that your parents would be mad at you if something happened to me, then don't do stupid things, you think trashing the house and making me clean them is not trouble for me?" I laughed sarcastically "Your parents never made me do heavy work, they just instructed me to watch over the house every now and then and that's it. And now, I have to baby sit some fucking self-centered badboy that I don't even know personally!" He scoffed. He was about to walk away but I stopped him.

"Don't you walk away from me, from your problems. You're not a kid anymore, I get that your parents shouldn't told me to baby sit you but you're acting like a kid is not helping." With that, I walked away leaving him down stairs.

I slammed my door shut and closed my eyes.

"Fucking guy who thinks his life is worse, he should try living mine. No dad, mom sick and need to baby sit a person like him just to have some money for everything"

I sighed. I open my eyes and drop my things on the floor and went to bed. Not long after I fell asleep, with a tear escaped my eye.
