"Hei Ya." Shao Xia softly called the mer who shivered involuntarily. Honestly, Hei Ya didn't even want to get involved with Shao Xia any longer. After what she did to Yuan Ni, he no longer had any trust in this woman. If this woman could betray Yuan Ni, the very same mer who was willing to do anything for her, she could betray him just as easily.
He didn't dare to even think about how this woman would kill him if he were to admit that he had watched him getting slapped in the face. He lowered his head with an apologetic look on his face and said to Shao Xia, "Is something the matter, Shao Xia? Do you want something from me?"
Shao Xia narrowed her eyes suspiciously at the mer. She had a feeling that Hei Ya had been lurking around for quite some time but the mer's pretence of not knowing anything was too good. Since Hei Ya was acting as if there was nothing wrong, she couldn't question him about what just happened. What if he really didn't see anything?
