Though a simple Hadō #4, Byakurai, its power was amplified by Kurotsuchi Mayuri's Captain-level spiritual pressure. A lightning bolt, as thick as a man's arm, hissed as it shot towards the spreading decay.
Nemu Kurotsuchi's expression finally showed a rare flicker of emotion. The lightning, upon contacting the black decay, lasted only a moment before being instantly eroded and dissipating into nothingness by the relentless effects of time!
Kurotsuchi Mayuri's attack enraged Barragan. His empty skull-like eyes fixed on Kurotsuchi Mayuri.
"Pathetic insect," Barragan hissed, his skeletal teeth clicking menacingly. "Do you dare challenge the God-King?"
The sight didn't faze Kurotsuchi Mayuri.
"Kek kek! Might I have your name?"
Barragan was completely bewildered. What? He was about to kill him, and he wanted his name? Perhaps it was their shared eccentricity, or perhaps Barragan's skull lacked a brain after his Resurrección.
"I am Barragan Luisenbarn, the great and immortal God-King of Hueco Mundo! I shall grant you de—"
Before he could finish, Barragan saw Kurotsuchi Mayuri furiously scribbling in his notebook, muttering to himself, "Hollow Disturbance Experiment #999, Barragan Luisenbarn. Ability: Senescence, equal to time."
Barragan's extinguished rage reignited.
"Insignificant insect!" he roared, raising his axe, black spiritual pressure swirling around it, radiating an aura of death. "Die!"
Nemu Kurotsuchi instinctively shielded Kurotsuchi Mayuri, attempting to intercept the attack.
A dull thud echoed. Kyōraku Callum reappeared before Barragan.
"Barragan, our battle isn't over yet!" he said. "I believe you should show your opponent some respect."
Seeing Kyōraku Callum, still unharmed, Barragan's expression turned grave. While it's unclear how a skeleton displays a grave expression, his skeletal face undeniably conveyed the feeling.
"My apologies," Barragan said seriously. "To show my respect, I shall grant you the most magnificent of deaths! Respira (Breath of Death)!"
Another wave of black decay spread from his feet, instantly annihilating anything it touched—matter and energy alike. Barragan's decay seemed unstoppable.
Kurotsuchi Mayuri and Nemu Kurotsuchi retreated from the epicenter. While mad, Kurotsuchi Mayuri wasn't stupid. Without preparation, even after his Shikai, he couldn't withstand this near-unstoppable power.
"This Kyōraku fellow…" Kurotsuchi Mayuri muttered, watching Kyōraku Callum fight Barragan, his gaze flickering. "What's he waiting for?"
Everything around them, tangible and intangible, succumbed to the decay within moments, reduced to sand by the relentless erosion of time. As Barragan had said, nothing was eternal. Even Shinigami faced death. This was an absolute power, a force that stood before all things. Even Kyōraku Callum had to admit Barragan's ability was nearly insurmountable. A close-combat Shinigami would have been utterly defeated.
"Unfortunately," Kyōraku Callum said calmly, using Shunpo to evade the encroaching decay, "the power of time isn't yours alone."
A bad feeling washed over Barragan. He unleashed the decay, relentlessly assaulting Kyōraku Callum. Buildings crumbled, the ground rotted, and black pits appeared across Shiba, even the newly formed clouds in the sky succumbing to decay. The entire city was trapped in a nightmare of senescence. Blackness enveloped Shiba.
Kyōraku Callum, his Zanpakutō pointed downwards, unleashed all his spiritual pressure. With Rukia's request to lift the restrictions, all limitations on power release across Shiba were lifted.
Feeling the immense, terrifying spiritual pressure, like a galaxy of stars, Barragan's expression changed again. A look of shock and awe appeared on his skeletal face. It was as if the heavens themselves were crushing him—an emotion he'd never experienced before: fear?!
Barragan's skull contorted in a grotesque display of horror. Fear was unbefitting of the Hueco Mundo God-King.
"Insignificant!" Barragan roared, venting his emotions. "Everything is trivial! The differences and wars between Shinigami, humans, Hollows, and Arrancar… will, freedom, wind, grass, stars, and mountains—all insignificant!"
Kyōraku Callum gazed calmly at Barragan, his own spiritual pressure swirling like stars around him.
"You've lost control, Barragan Luisenbarn."
Barragan faltered, then continued to roar, "In this world, only my power is absolute and unique! Everything else is insignificant! This world should be ruled by me, the one with supreme power!"
He swung his skeletal hand, a mass of dark decay engulfing Kyōraku Callum like a storm cloud.
Barragan breathed a sigh of relief. "Look, in my eyes, your lives are no different from ants. Kyōraku Callum, this ends here." In Barragan's eyes, nothing—Shinigami or Hollow—could escape the fate of decay and death.
