Chapter 45 - Chapter 45: The Guild (IX)

Hey readers! As far as romance goes, nothing will kick off for a long while. And I'm talking about a few years at the earliest. You can expect the slow burn =3=

Not until after Order 66 and the Bad Batch is finished is what I'm considering (Around 17-15 BBY)

Happy reading!

As expected, while still cloaked, the gunship aligned with one of the many freighters passing through. And I'm sure many of these are operated by droids since we're inside Separatist space. Want to know the best part? With how advanced this cloaking technology is, we don't need any sort of manual intervention. None at all. That includes radar jamming that can detect any array of signals, infrared, heat, and so on. The Republic doesn't know this part, and I've no reason to tell them that. It could be considered an ace up my sleeve. All they know is that I can hide pretty well, seeing as we successfully rescued Master Plo and all.

The only reason why the Malevolence knew the gunship's location was that we gave our position away when we fired the turrets and gunship missiles. And they couldn't even react in time before I left the scene via hyperspace. I do need to be careful whenever I use the gunship's latch, however. That seems to be the one trigger that bypasses this cloaking. It makes sense, considering that when the latch opens and we fly down it, it reveals our location.

During the traffic stop, I didn't want to make any unexpected moves, so without latching onto the freighter beside us, I aligned the gunship downward, and hid right underneath it. They didn't know, nor did the station know. We hid as intended, and passed right on through. I even saw droids operating the station when they were checking the identification of the passengers. There was a momentary pause while they did the checking, but overall, a smooth fly-in.

It was boring, in a way. Droids have no emotion, unlike us humans. It just joined the line, paused when it was their turn, and left. The only difference was that we were underneath the freighter.

[Congratulations on making it through, Samus. I will initiate the jump to hyperspace. Estimated time until arrival in Kashyyyk: Ten hours. This will be our last juncture before we arrive on Planet Toydaria. If you want some rest, now would be the time to do so.] Adam said to me.

"Might as well. I got a little bit of shut-eye last time, but it wasn't a proper sleep. One day we'll visit Kashyyyk, but not today. It too will be attacked by the Separatists in due time, and Master Yoda will be the one to lead the charge. It has a quite well-known and loveable character. It's home to the species of Wookies, and Chewbacca is amongst their number. While I sleep, do me a favor and see if you can pick up on any signs of him. I do not know of Chewbacca's current whereabouts if he's on Kashyyyk right now.", I said.

[Understood. I will investigate what you call Wookies, and see where said individual is. Rest well, Samus.] Adam responded. With his new directive, I saw his face vanish. I remained seated. I let Adam initiate the jump this time, even though I know how to do that now. Give-and-take, yeah? He can still do his assigned roles as my AI, and operate the gunship when I tell him to. But now, I now know the basics of flying it~

Just like that, the jump to hyperspace began, and the stars and planets surrounding Planet Lantillies vanished in a blink of an eye. I soon began to only hear the hum of the gunship's engine. Stretching a bit, I yawned.

To be honest, I don't know when exactly I'll pay Kashyyyk a visit. Perhaps once I finish my business on Planet Toydaria and Nar Shaddaa? It's the closest location to Planets I want to explore. Of the planets to visit, Mandalore is one of my most wanted places to visit. That place is just a bounty hunter's dream. And Mandalorians are proud and true warriors. They live that life. The only problem is, it's basically on the other side of the Mid Rim. It would take a much longer time heading there than it did passing by the Core Worlds into a single trade lane. It'll involve multiple jumps and junctures to pass whereas where I'm currently at, we only needed to pass by two junctures and we're already on the way to the second one.

So more than likely, Planet Kashyyyk is the way to go. I can use the same minor lane from Nar Shaddaa all the way to Planet Kashyyyk. The Wookie I want Adam to research into, who I called Chewbacca, should be there right now, I think? There are definitely many characters here in Star Wars I want to approach and potentially recruit as a crew, and choosing a Wookie is one to note. They're very trustworthy and loyal once you can establish that connection.

I'm not directly spelling it out that I'll poach Chewbacca from Han Solo, but how cool would it be to have a Wookie as part of my crew? They're very strong too! Han Solo comes across many characters very similarly to what I'm intending to do, but it is Chewbacca who always stays with him until the end. So yeah, not exactly keen on taking the guy for myself, but he doesn't even know Han Solo right now. Not until another decade or so. First come first serve, I guess?

I could brush up on my languages in the meantime. Wookies speak in what is called Shyriiwook, a series of growls, roars and grunts. They can't actually vocalize words due to how their anatomy is structured. They can understand languages being spoken to them, so I'm not sure if I need to go into depth of the language, just get a basic understanding of it. Thankfully, I won't need to learn anything new for our upcoming visit to Planet Toydaria. Again, I was grateful to the clones who taught me back inside that cave.

But right now, there wasn't much else to do than to clock out for the night. I used the synthesizer again, and made some curry rice, and let me tell you, that really hit the spot.

It didn't take long for my thoughts to drift off into dreamland. I was getting slowly hooked into sleeping in those stasis pods, but I opted for the bed this time. I willed the Power Suit to vanish, and stripped off my Zero Suit, leaving nothing on except my panties. My breasts were completely exposed as I took to the covers. What? It's my gunship, my rules. I don't have any crewmates yet, so I can do what I want, when I want~

Apart from the constant hum of the gunship, the only thing that echoed around the Personal Quarters was my soft snoring. I had a nostalgic dream that night, and more memories of Samus's past began surfacing, making me change from one place to another in swift succession inside that dream.

I didn't know how much time had passed before I heard Adam reach out to me, which ended that dream.

[Samus, we will be arriving on Planet Toydaria shortly. I bypassed the second juncture while you were asleep, and made it past Planet Kashyyyk. I managed to gather some information as well, so we can discuss it once you have freshened up.] Adam said, calling out to me.

"Alright. And that was such a weird dream...", I murmured, and stretched my arms, slowly beginning to wake up. I felt a weird wiggling sensation in front of me, causing my eyes to focus. I saw my breasts bounce a bit while I shifted myself up from my bed.

"Right. Girl.", I uttered.
