A Week Later.
A full week had passed since Rukia returned to the Soul Society. Ichigo, who had just completed his training and managed to attain Bankai, was told everything by Urahara. He was also informed that Rukia's execution had been decided, in order to strip her of her powers for granting them to a human.
Summer vacation had just begun, and Ichigo was determined to head to Soul Society to rescue Rukia. As for the means of entering Soul Society, Urahara would provide that.
Upon hearing Ichigo's decision, it was clear that Urahara was delighted—so much so that he informed Inoue and Chad, and even told Tatsuki about it. After nearly half a month of training with Yoruichi, Tatsuki had mastered Incinerate Anthem, as well as Shunpo and Hakuda. The girl possessed a solid foundation and an extraordinary talent, allowing her to reach the level of a Lieutenant. Because of her strong will, Incinerate Anthem responded to her, boosting her power dramatically.
Urahara had to admit that he was deeply curious about Incinerate Anthem, which seemed to work similarly to the Hōgyoku—responding to its host's desires and will, and granting tremendous power.
However, he dared not do anything reckless. He knew Ren would not remain silent if he tried dissecting one of his companions to study their power. Urahara simply did not have the courage to risk turning Ren against him, especially since he was certain that at least three people on the level of Captain would immediately target his head.
Thus, despite his burning curiosity, he restrained himself from dissecting Tatsuki. Still, he managed to obtain a sample of Incinerate Anthem's flames for deeper research, determined to understand this power akin to the Hōgyoku. Ignoring it would be far too dangerous.
[A/N: Other supernatural worlds will begin to appear after this arc, and Lieutenant-level power will no longer be considered remarkable—it will merely be average.]

"..." – Ren stared silently at the notification before him. He had received these treasure chests from Saki and Akiko, and he didn't even need a Quest. Simply touching them had been enough to acquire them.
Without hesitation, Ren pressed [Y], curious to see what he would obtain.
He continued watching the glowing transparent screen in front of him as it flickered lightly after he pressed the [Y] button. Waves of light began gathering at the center of the room where he sat.
His apartment was quiet as always—plain gray walls and simple furniture—but now it was filled with a faint aura of pure blue energy radiating from the system's interface.

✦ – "Modified Soul: Amagi" x1
✦ Spell Record x1 ]**
The moment the notification appeared, a light flashed before him, briefly illuminating his room. Out of it emerged a black book inscribed with strange symbols—and a beautiful woman dressed in a maid outfit.
She was stunning, with an elegant Japanese beauty—brown hair tied in a ponytail, red wine-like eyes, and a gentle, subtle smile on her lips. Her gaze radiated loyalty and respect toward him.
Amagi wore a refined French maid uniform that highlighted her alluring curves. The instant Ren looked at her, he could see clearly that Amagi was a Modified Soul within a Gigai.
[A/N: Amagi from I'm the Evil Lord of an Intergalactic Empire!]
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Ren-sama," Amagi said respectfully, bowing before him. "My name is Amagi, and I am a Modified Soul. From now on, I will be responsible for taking care of all of Master's affairs."
"Mm." – Ren gave a slight nod to Amagi, then turned his attention toward the Spell Record, which intrigued him far more. As for Amagi, he already knew what she was—a Modified Soul designed to meet all his needs: food, drink, cleaning, analyzing his abilities, helping him develop them, even warming his bed.
But despite appearances, she was absurdly strong—her power equal to that of an average Captain. While there were 13 Captains in total, their strength varied greatly. Zaraki's strength was leagues above Komamura's or Hitsugaya's, for example.
Though Amagi wasn't on Zaraki's level, Captains like Kurotsuchi or Byakuya would stand no chance against her—at least for now. In the end of the original story, of course, they would all become far stronger.
As for the Spell Record, Ren hadn't learned much yet, other than that it could copy any spell—like Kidō or exorcism spells, among others—and he could use them just by thought.
But that wasn't enough for Ren. He needed to study it further to understand the true extent of the spells it could reproduce, and whether it had hidden limitations—like a cap on the number of uses. Unfortunately, he didn't even know a single Kidō spell, let alone other spells, so he couldn't do much for now.
"..." – Ren stared at the book for a moment, then bit his finger and let a drop of blood fall onto it. The book was an artifact, and required his blood as a medium to bind it.
If it had been a weapon like Incinerate Anthem, Ren would never have bound it to himself—Mikazuki would have been displeased. But she didn't seem to mind the book, or she would have already complained in his head. Technically speaking, it wasn't a weapon.
As soon as his blood touched the Spell Record, it was absorbed, and Ren felt the bond forming between them. He could now see everything inscribed within, though it was empty at the moment. Still, he could use any spell recorded inside simply by thinking of it and speaking its name.
Ren kept his gaze fixed on the book as the spiritual bond took shape. Strange symbols glowed briefly across the Spell Record's cover, then vanished, as if sealing an unbreakable secret pact. He felt something stir within his consciousness—as though the book had become an extension of himself… or perhaps another entity dwelling inside him.
"Binding successfully established." – Amagi spoke softly as she approached with silent steps. "Would you like me to start loading a list of basic Kidō spells? I have a database containing all Kidō from 1 to 70."
Ren raised an eyebrow slightly, then said: "Record everything."
This was another method. He could record spells manually in the book without needing to witness them firsthand. Extremely useful in situations where casting directly wasn't possible.
"Understood." – She replied with a faint smile. Her fingers brushed across the book's pages, needing no pen; simply focusing on the spell's concept and mechanics while moving her fingers over the page was enough to inscribe it.
As she worked, Ren lifted his hand and whispered:
"Hadō #63: Raikōhō."
In an instant, intense yellow energy surged into his palm. A heavy spiritual pressure spread around him, causing the glass in the room to tremble faintly—before he dismissed the energy with a flick of his finger.
"...Good. No delay." – he muttered, folding his arms.
This record... was more than just a copying tool. It remembered, reshaped, and integrated the spells directly into Ren's spiritual framework—no memorization or recitation required. It was essentially an "instant-copy system" for any spell he could observe.

A stable bond between "Spell Record" and "Modified Soul: Amagi" has been detected.

"Shared...?" – Ren muttered, before pressing [Y] without hesitation.
In the next moment, a magic circle appeared beneath Amagi. The spells recorded in the Spell Record began transferring into her spiritual awareness as well, meaning she could instantly use any spell Ren learned—without training.
Ren smirked faintly. "Now this... is actually useful."
"Thank you for placing your trust in me, Ren-sama." – Amagi bowed gracefully. "I will make sure not to disappoint you."
