After a Day
A full day had passed since Ichigo and the others had stormed Seireitei, and from the very moment they arrived, chaos spread like wildfire.
Ichigo moved forward without hesitation, attacking anyone who stood in his way, and with every strike of his Zanpakutō, he planted doubt in the hearts of those watching from the shadows.
As for Tatsuki—entering Seireitei for the first time—she proved she was far from an ordinary human. With her unorthodox fighting style and her ability to unleash strange, terrifying purple flames, she defeated Hisagi Shūhei, one of the most experienced Lieutenants, in a direct confrontation, leaving him unconscious.
The goal of the attack was not destruction, but reaching Rukia. With every step they took toward Senzaikyū, the upper command of Gotei 13 realized the true magnitude of the threat this group represented.
Seeing that Seireitei's defenses were weaker than expected, Aizen hastened his plans. He ordered Rukia's execution to be expedited under the identity of Central 46, sending her to Senzaikyū for repentance, with only three days remaining before her scheduled execution at Sōkyoku Hill.
Aizen was not the only one watching from the shadows; Ren was as well. He had not intervened in any fight so far, although he had always been present in case something happened to them.
He had to admit that he was extremely surprised by everyone's growth, especially Tatsuki, whose desire for power had far exceeded his expectations. Without an overwhelming will, it would have been impossible for her to reach such strength so quickly. Incinerate Anthem responded to Tatsuki's will, and if she had not possessed the talent and strong determination to bear its power, she would never have achieved such strength. Although she had not yet reached Balance Breaker level, her spiritual power (Reiatsu) was unparalleled among those at the Lieutenant level, approaching that of the Captains.
In Ren's eyes, Tatsuki's growth was astonishing, especially since she had been an almost ordinary person before, with only a small amount of spiritual power. Her will, however, was extraordinary, which is why he did not hesitate to grant her Incinerate Anthem, a Sacred Gear reliant on willpower.
"Kyaaa!!"
As Ren walked around the 4th Division area, a terrified scream echoed throughout the place.
"Seems like it's started," Ren thought as he vanished from his spot and rushed toward the source of the scream. Now known in Soul Society as Ritsu's disciple, he felt no concern wandering the area nonchalantly.
Although this was the first time he heard the voice, Ren recognized it immediately—it was Hinamori Momo, who was supposed to discover Aizen's fake corpse.
The 5th Division headquarters was not far from the 4th Division, and Ren reached the source of the scream within moments.
Upon arrival, Ren's eyes fell on the beautiful girl with black hair tied in a Chinese-style bun and brown eyes, staring at a blank wall in shock and disbelief.
To be precise, the wall wasn't entirely empty; an Asauchi was embedded in it, but nothing else was there.
However, this was not what Hinamori Momo saw. In her brown eyes, the wall held Aizen's lifeless body, with an Asauchi stabbed through his heart, pinning him to the wall.
This was the terror of Kyōka Suigetsu, capable of complete sensory control, even over Lieutenants and Captains. But Ren was unconcerned, as he possessed a Spiritual Life-Form and Rikugan (Six Eyes), granting him absolute immunity to illusions. Kyōka Suigetsu had no effect on him, even if Aizen poured all his power into hypnotizing him.
As Ren stared at the Asauchi on the wall, he sensed many powerful Reiatsu approaching, one of which was very familiar—it belonged to Ritsu.
The first to arrive were the Lieutenants, being closest to the area. They quickly gathered around Hinamori, worried, especially Kira, her classmate, who had not noticed Aizen's corpse nearby.
"Hinamori-kun, what happened?" Kira asked anxiously, shaking Hinamori's frail body, still staring at the wall in disbelief. "Are you okay?"
"A… Aizen-Taichō!!" Rangiku cried in shock, staring at the corpse still dripping fresh blood.
"Impossible…" Kira muttered, his eyes widening in shock. It was clear he could not believe his eyes. Aizen had been a Captain, and reaching that rank required immense power. It was impossible for someone like him to die quietly without anyone noticing the shift in the battle.
The idea of Aizen dying without the ability to resist was unthinkable. No one even wanted to contemplate it, as Aizen's power was known to all. If someone of his strength could be killed silently, did it mean this was the end of Gotei 13?
While everyone was in a state of shock, Ritsu arrived first, standing quietly beside Ren, staring at the wall-mounted corpse with a mixture of shock and disbelief.
After Ritsu, the other Captains arrived, and the chaotic scene escalated further due to the skirmish between Hitsugaya and Ichimaru, as well as Hinamori, who had lost her composure and attempted to attack Ichimaru.
