"How can Kazama, who isn't of the Uzumaki clan, have such strong vitality to sustain the Rinne Tensei no Jutsu?" Konan wondered aloud.
"No matter how strong his vitality is, using Rinne Tensei no Jutsu should still lead to his death," Nagato added somberly.
"Ugh…" Konan sighed, and Nagato felt a pang of sadness.
"You two, why are you cursing me to die when I'm perfectly fine?" Kazama's voice suddenly interrupted their mourning.
Nagato and Konan froze, jaws dropping in disbelief.
"Kazama, you… you're not dead?!" Konan stammered.
"Of course not. How else would I be standing here?" Kazama chuckled, amused by their shocked expressions.
"But anyone who uses Rinne Tensei no Jutsu should die from exhaustion!" Nagato protested.
"Yeah, and you didn't just revive me—you brought back everyone in Konoha! Even with infinite chakra, you shouldn't be unscathed!" Konan added.
Though thrilled that Kazama was alive, they were equally stunned. Kazama wasn't just packing infinite chakra—he also had the Fallen Heart Flame, which endlessly supplied energy, and the Three Thousand Flames, which rapidly healed physical damage. No matter how much Rinne Tensei no Jutsu taxed him, Kazama could shrug it off without a scratch.
"Nagato, instead of being shocked about me, why don't you check what's changed with your own body?" Kazama said, deftly dodging their questions about his secrets.
Curious, Nagato glanced down at himself. "Nothing seems different…"
But then he noticed his legs—crippled for years—were now moving. "No way! Is this real?" he gasped.
Konan, seeing the change, shouted with joy, "Oh my gosh, it's true!"
"How is this possible? My legs were beyond saving! How can I move again?" Nagato asked, turning to Kazama in awe.
"Nothing's impossible with me around," Kazama replied with a grin. "Consider it a reward for turning to the light."
Nagato was overwhelmed with gratitude. Not only had Kazama revived him, but he'd also restored his mobility. Words couldn't express how thankful he felt.
"Kazama, little brother," Nagato said solemnly, "your genjutsu showed me Black Zetsu's true schemes. I won't help him anymore. If you'll have me, I'd like to be your ally. Let's work together for peace in the shinobi world."
"I was waiting for you to say that!" Kazama said, clapping Nagato's shoulder with a broad smile. "I'd never turn you away."
"Oh, one thing—Black Zetsu will come after you once he knows you're alive. You shouldn't return to Amegakure. He won't just target you; he'll go after the villagers too."
"Then where should I go?" Nagato asked.
"Come to my ninja village!" Kazama offered.
"Konoha? After I was controlled by Black Zetsu and caused so much damage there, will the people accept me?" Nagato hesitated.
"Not Konoha—Oto-nin Village," Kazama clarified.
"Oto-nin Village?" Nagato echoed, puzzled. He'd never heard of such a place.
