Chapter 189 - Chapter 188: Epic Showboating and Face-Slapping

At that moment, Shizune's broken body began regenerating at a speed visible to the naked eye.

In just a few breaths, Shizune, who'd been battered and torn, was completely restored, not a scratch on her.

"How is this possible?!"

Everyone who witnessed the divine power of Kazama's Sanzen Yanen Hono (Three Thousand Blazing Flames) let out the same shocked gasp, and Mizuki was no exception.

"You little punk, I didn't expect you to actually have some skills! You managed to fix Shizune's broken limbs. But even if you patched her up, she's still got no signs of life. You're just wasting your time!"

As Mizuki kept mocking, Kazama infused a green flame—the Seirei no Honoo (Flame of Life)—into Shizune's body.

The Seirei no Honoo had the power to bring the dead back to life.

"Green flames? Hmph, guess you got cuckolded by some old geezer, huh? That's why you've got green flames!"

Mizuki might not have been strong, but he sure had a sharp tongue when it came to trash-talking.

Too bad for him, no matter how clever his taunts, Kazama was about to slap him down hard.

Because right then, Shizune—pale and lifeless just moments ago—started to flush with color, her vitality fully restored.

"Holy crap!"

That's when Mizuki truly realized just how terrifying Kazama's power was.

"Thank you, Kazama!"

The revived Shizune quickly thanked him.

But Mizuki, undeterred, started hurling insults at Kazama again.

He knew he was no match for Kazama.

He knew Kazama could crush him with a single finger. But he just couldn't stand him.

Plus, as the mastermind behind the prison break, Mizuki knew he'd be hauled back for questioning.

So, no matter how much he insulted Kazama, he figured Kazama wouldn't dare kill him.

"Shizune, step aside for a bit. Mizuki and I have some personal business to settle."

"Oh, sure!"

Shizune nodded and left the scene.

When Mizuki heard Kazama send Shizune away, his gut sank.

That could only mean one thing—Kazama was about to make a move.

Cold sweat poured down Mizuki's face.

"Hey, you little punk, don't do anything rash! Don't forget, per Konoha's laws, I'm supposed to be taken back for trial. If you kill me, you'll be the one facing punishment!"

"I know. That's why I'm not gonna kill you."

"Really? Phew, that's a relief."

Mizuki let out a long breath, thinking he was in the clear.

But then he saw Kazama's hands forming seals, and his whole body froze.

With a thud, Mizuki dropped to his knees before Kazama.

Because those hand signs? They were for the Sennensatsu (Thousand Years of Death)—the very technique that had once cured Mizuki's constipation in the most humiliating way.

"Kazama, little bro—no, Kazama aniki, please spare me! I know I messed up! I swear I'll never do it again!"

Mizuki, who feared nothing in heaven or earth, was terrified of Kazama's Sennensatsu.

"Mizuki, my man, I'm just worried about you. Prison food's rough, and I bet you're all backed up. This is for your own good—Sennensatsu Sanzen Rendan (Thousand Years of Death Three Thousand Barrage)!"

As Kazama spoke, three thousand of his Mokuton (Wood Release) clones appeared and took turns unleashing the Sennensatsu on Mizuki.

Mizuki was caught in a whirlwind of pain and—well, let's just say it was a messy experience, leaving him in a state of agony and humiliation.

Just then, Shizune received some bad news.

While Mizuki, the ringleader of the prison break, had been caught, the other escaped prisoners were still running wild in the Budokai arena.

These prisoners were specifically targeting Konoha ninja for revenge, and Naruto and the other Konoha rookies were already battered and bruised from their attacks.
