Chapter 79: It is Time
Harry Potter arrived at his cozy cabin, accompanied by Susan and his new acquisition, the gigantic book he had just stolen, being completely unaware of all that chaos developing across Magical Britain on this very night.
In any case, he had already assumed that what he did tonight would at least put him on some wanted list, so he wouldn't be able to walk around the streets with the carefree attitude he had before.
"You live here?" Susan asked while looking at the house.
"For the moment," Harry responded. "You will be staying here too." He couldn't send her to the Bones Manor now, as the authorities would be looking for her, and that house would be the first place they would check.
"Blinx!" Harry called.
A second later, a nervous house-elf appeared before them.
"M–Master! W–what can Blinx do for y—"
"Bring the book inside the house. Place it on top of the living-room table," said Harry. "Oh, but don't use your magic to move it." After saying that, Harry went into the house.
The house-elf went to pick up the book, but soon realized that without his magic, it was a bit too heavy to lift.
Noticing the little creature struggle, Susan went to help. "Here, we can carry it together."
"Thank you, Missus…"
"Susan. And you are Blinx, right?"
The house-elf nodded quickly. "Missus Susan will be staying with us?"
Susan stopped for a moment. She wanted to answer the question, but soon realized that she couldn't make the decision herself. Something more powerful than herself was stopping her from doing so. "I… I will do what Harry tells me." It was the only thing she could say.
The house-elf glanced at the girl with concern in his eyes, as the little creature understood that the two of them were very similar right now.

Two hours later, Susan was sleeping on the couch, and Blinx was cleaning the house for the tenth time today, while Harry was still reading the book in the living room.
This tome was exactly what he had hoped to acquire, and from what he had seen so far, the rituals looked legitimate.
There were even parts of the book written in the demonic tongue, which not many humans would be able to understand, but luckily for Harry, he was one of them.
"Mmm… this looks like it could work." Harry stopped at one particular page and examined its contents further. "I'm lacking the materials for the more advanced deals, but this seems like a good place to start."
He had a lot of experience with demonology, but it was better to be safe than sorry. This was his second chance, and for the time being, there wouldn't be a third one.
"Okay, let's get everything ready. I guess tonight I'm not sleeping." It may have sounded like a complaint, but in reality, Harry was incredibly happy and excited.
He had to contain his emotions as he called for his house-elf to help get everything he needed.
It was around three in the morning when he made his way down the stairs and entered the dungeon.
His two 'guests' were already awake and began shouting the moment they saw him.
"Hey! Let us go already!"
"I wanna go home!"
But all it took was for him to show them his wand, and they immediately shut their mouths.
These Muggles knew nothing about magic, but they learned quickly that this stick was able to inflict tremendous pain on their bodies, much like his aunt and uncle did after his return.
"One of you is getting out of the house tonight." Harry glanced at the two of them, the middle-aged man and the young girl. "Which one is going to be?"
"Me, please!" the girl screamed with tears in her eyes while the man remained silent.
Harry glanced at the middle-aged man instead. "Don't you wish to get out of that cell?"
The man sighed. "Let the girl out…"
Harry chuckled. "How noble." His wand tapped the cell door and it opened.
The girl stood up but didn't move yet. She continued to look at Harry with fear in her eyes. "Can I really leave?"
"Sure, let me help you." Harry fired two spells in quick succession without saying a word. The first one paralyzed her with a stun charm, and the second one made her body levitate in the air.
"W-What are you doing? You said you were letting her go!" the middle-aged man exclaimed.
"I said that one of you was getting out of the house tonight." Harry pointed at her. "You wanted her to go first, and that's what will happen." He moved her out of the cell and up the stairs.
The man watched this while his body trembled, as he finally understood that their captor never had any intention of letting them go, and whatever he had planned for that poor young girl was not going to be pleasant.
Harry walked through the front door and went into the garden.
The paralyzed young girl was floating right behind him. She couldn't move but was still conscious of everything happening. Her eyes were open and they showed the dread she was feeling.
"You go over there." Harry placed her on top of a stone platform he had prepared.
There were markings carved all over the surface.
This was a sacrifice altar, designed just as the book indicated.
"I think my old one was bigger though…" Harry muttered.
He just followed the instructions this time. The one he used in the past had been mostly improvised with bits and pieces of information he had managed to acquire over the years.
"As long as it works. I suppose it doesn't matter."
"M–Master… I brought the—" The elf was holding a large wooden box in his arms.
"Place it on the ground and open it up." Harry approached the altar. "Is Susan still sleeping?"
"She is, Master."
"Oh well… she is going to miss it." He glanced at the house-elf. "Tonight, you will be witness to something very special. I am about to open the gates to the Netherworld!" he declared loudly.
