[Rank 4 Primitive Monster: Wind Razor Wolf slain (x5).]
[Inferno Slash proficiency has reached Advanced Stage <92.00%>]
[Basic Cleaver Technique has reached Level 8!]
His `Basic Cleaver Technique` finally broke through, reaching a new realm. The 75% increase in attack power was a massive boost, making his already formidable strikes even more devastating.
With each kill, with each new treasure, their system became more refined. Dravin would handle the fighting, and they would split the loot.
He took the lion's share, claiming sixty percent of the herbs or fruits, since he the one risking his life.
"Squeak!" "Squeak!!" "Squeak!!!"
The little thief protested with a flurry of angry, high-pitched chirps and dramatic gestures, but Dravin remained indifferent to its complaints until it reluctantly accepted its forty percent.
It was a partnership built on mutual greed, and it was proving to be incredibly profitable. His point total on the leaderboard, which was being watched with growing confusion back in the stadium, was skyrocketing at an unprecedented rate.
This next one was the most dangerous yet.
The little thief led him to the base of a roaring waterfall that cascaded down a sheer cliff face.
Behind the curtain of water was a hidden grotto, and within it, a single, glowing spring of milky-white liquid—a 'Geo-Essence Spring,' a natural treasure that could permanently fortify one's physique.
While the spring was a good thing, it was extremely difficult to acquire as a Rank 5 dimensional beast was actually guarding it!
'Stone-Shelled Titan,' a massive, golem-like creature made of hardened rock and earth.
The moment they entered the grotto, the Titan awoke. Its eyes, two massive, glowing eyes, fixed on Dravin.
"ROOOOAR!"
With a deafening, grinding roar, it rose to its full, five-meter height. It didn't have claws or teeth; its entire body was a weapon.
It swung a massive stone fist, an attack so powerful it felt like a mountain was falling on him.
Dravin didn't even make an attempt to block such blow. He would be crazy if he did something so stupid.
He activated instantly `Crimson Thunder Step` at full power, his body becoming a streak of pure lightning that zigzag around the grotto, leaving behind flickering thunderous afterimages.
"Boom!"
The Titan's fist slammed into the ground where he had been, shattering the stone floor and sending tremors through the entire grotto.
Dravin reappeared on the Titan's massive shoulder, his cleaver trembled as his muscles expanded, activating level 8 of the Basic Cleaver Art and Initial stage of the Inferno Slash as he cleaved directly at the golem's neck.
"CLANG!"
The impact was like a smith's hammer striking an anvil.
A shower of sparks flew, and a deep, shallow gash was left in the stone, but he hadn't broken through.
Dravin's face changed slightly. His Cleaver wasn't actually sharp enough to cleave through its stone skin.
Moreover, the monster's defense was even more ridiculous than the Tyrant Bear's.
The Titan roared, trying to swat him off like a fly.
Dravin stomped his feet flipping backwards as he avoided the attack.
A direct assault was useless. He needed a different approach.
"Roooar!"
The beast roared in anger and pursued Dravin as it attacked with its fist.
But Dravin simply avoided them with Incredible speed.
Suddenly, the beast punched to the ground and numerous massive stones flew into the air. It suddenly grabbed them and like a machine gun, started to tossing them towards Dravin.
A boulder moving with speed that could rival a bullet?
Dravin's face changed as he and he activated the Basic Cleaver Art to the highest level slicing through the flying boulders and reducing them to dust.
In the next second, the last of the boulder that was heading towards him suddenly distorted, transforming into the Stone- Titan!
It clenched its fist and instantly punched out.
Dravin didn't hesitate as he also punched out.
"BOOM!!!"
Visible shockwaves blasted out in all directions, reducing the nearby boulders into smithereens!
Both Dravin and the Stone Titan each took four steps backwards to negate the resultant force.
'How is a rank 5 beast this strong?'
He could clearly see the five line patterns on the forehead of the beast signifying a rank 5 monster yet it was as strong as he was. It was simply too inconceivable.
Dravin's face instantly turned dark.
The beast didn't give him time to think much as it attacked again.
Dravin's eyes shone brilliantly. He had never fought for more than 5 minutes before and fighting with his fist was igniting something within him.
Sheathing his Cleaver, he instantly moved and also punched out, exchanging punches with the five meters tall beast and he was actually not losing!
"BOOM!"
"BOOM!"
"BOOM!"
Punches collided against each other like trucks coloring with one another. Shockwaves ricked outwards like grenades exploding as the supposing trees and rocks were destroyed.
Dravin spent the next thirty minutes enjoying himself to the fullest, until he could feel his stamina reducing.
However, Dravin wasn't just battling the fighting the beast for fun, he had been watching for a weakness and he found it.
In the center of the Titan's chest was a single, large stone that seemed no different to the other stone on its body and looked ordinary. But Dravin noticed something different about it.
He zipped around the area, taunting the beast, leading it into a furious, clumsy charge. At the last second, he used `Crimson Thunder Step` to appear directly in front of it. As the Titan leaned forward to crush him, he didn't attack.
He slid between its massive legs, appearing behind it. The beast, unable to stop its momentum, crashed headfirst into the wall.
Before it could recover, Dravin acted. He leaped onto its back, his hands crackling with an almost uncontrollable amount of crimson energy.
He was gathering the raw, untamed power of his bloodline. He roared as he punched both of his hands onto the Titan's back, directly opposite its core, and unleashed the full, chaotic torrent.
"BOOM!"
An explosion of crimson lightning erupted, as it imploded deep within the Titan's body. The uncontrolled energy bypassed the stone armor, traveling through the monster's earthen body like electricity through a wire, and converged on a single point: the geode in its chest.
The core overloaded, and with a crackle, it shattered.
The Stone-Shelled Titan froze, its eyes dimmed, and it crumbled into a massive pile of rock and dust.
