When Akira opened his eyes, he was in a very lavish bed and room, and he asks himself "where am I? What room is this?" As he gets up to walk around.
As he walked around the room, he noticed a picture and picks it up, the drops it as he gasped in surprise but one of his monsters catches it, the monster is Ancient Gear Soldier "be careful Commander, we don't want people to think you're insane for dropping a picture of you and your adopted family" as he eats it back (yes, each ancient gear will call him something different depending on the last part of their name, so master for the golems and Commander for Soldiers etc)
Akira goes to yell but stops himself and whispers loudly "they made me a Kaiba!?" Soldier nods and says "yes Commander, not any Kaiba but the adopted son of Seto" that makes Akira even more surprised as he looks at the picture again and sighs, Seto isn't too much older then him, he guesstimates that Kaiba adopted him when he was about 20 and Akira was 18, but something was different, Mokuba seemed about a year older then Akira.
"Huh? Why is Mokuba older?" Ancient says, appearing by him "in this dimension Mokuba was born a year after Seto was" Akira nods at that and thinks before asking "wait, why did Kaiba adopt me? He doesn't seem like the type to really adopt someone, much less someone who's only two years younger then him" Ancient nods while chuckling "yes, but you dueled him in an unofficial duel, you had a bad deck but were skilled at using it so he adopted you and you became a Kaiba, but kept your last name as to not cause chaos for them which Kaiba respected"
Akira nods as he takes it all in before a flash of memories hit that weren't his, and now he's Akira Muramasa-Kaiba, the original owner of this body who was suicidal and overdosed, but hey it's like it never happened. A knock is heard and someone says "Master Akira, are you up? Master Seto would like a word" Akira coughs and said "yes, I'll be out in a moment" Ancient chuckles and says "good luck master" and goes away
Akira want to wear something comfortable and looks at the options.... And groans in slight disappointment as he wanted his normal clothes but sighs and looks in a mirror and sees.... Scars on his face, namely the mouth area and he gasps in pure shock and horror, and a flash of memories happening as.... He sees that when he was younger in this dimension he was assaulted, he was able to be saved but the bottom half of his face covered in scars and he shakes.... As he yells to the person, more then likely a butler and in a very shaky voice "d-do we have m-masks!?"
The butler rushed in, and seeing the scars he understood and says "of course Master Akira, I'll get you one right away, would you like me to get you more comfortable clothes as well?" Akira nods and whispers "please" the butler immediately exits, and accidentally bumps into Seto Kaiba himself while in a rush "why are you in a rush, depending on your answer I might not fire you" Seto states coldly, while the butler quickly says "Master Akira had a flashback to when he got his scars on his face, I was rushing to get him a mask and more comfortable clothes" Seto's eyes widen as he runs towards Akira's room, while the butler continues on his mission.
Seto fucking bursts in, scaring Akira, and hugs him tightly shushing him, comforting him and eventually the butler returns with hoodies, sweatpants and a mask for him to wear and eventually when Akira calms down, he changes, puts the mask on and Seto says "better?" Akira of course nods, Seto says "I'm gonna say what I needed to talk to you about, you're heading to Maiami to possibly make friends.... Ugh, and to take part in the championship there, ok?" Akira nods softly before he falls asleep, Seto puts him in his bed and leaves
