Chapter 3 - Episode 3-“ He still looks at me”

Scene 1: The Village Courtyard — Early Morning

The air is crisp. Chickens peck the ground. Women sweep the courtyard. Ainur walks out in a soft pink shawl, carrying a basket of zhent sweets her aunt asked her to deliver to the neighbors.

From across the yard, Arman watches her. His arms are crossed. His shoulders broader than she remembers, but the look in his eyes—still the same.

Scene 2: On the Village Path

Ainur walks briskly along the muddy road between houses, her long braid swaying behind her. Behind her, footsteps echo.

She stops. Turns.

AINUR (coldly):

"Why are you following me?"

Scene 3: Inside the Yurt – Family Dinner

The family gathers under warm lights. Dombra music plays softly in the background. As they eat besbarmak, Arman watches Ainur from across the floor cushions.

Her cousin whispers to her, "He's been asking about you. He's here for you."

Ainur's hands freeze on her spoon. She doesn't look up. Not once.

But Arman? His eyes never leave her.

Scene 4: Riverbank – That Night

Ainur steps out, needing air. She stands near the water, arms folded.

A voice behind her:

"You've changed, Ainur. You don't laugh like before."

She doesn't turn around.

AINUR:

"You changed first."

Silence.

He walks away this time, leaving her alone.

But this time, she glances back
