Chapter 6 – Destruction
Z-City — directly beneath the apartment where Zenin Kyūjō and Saitama lived.
At that moment, Hell Blizzard—Fubuki—had finally finished throwing up every last bit of her dinner from the night before.
Her knees gave way, and she sank to the ground, pale and trembling. Slowly, she regained her breath.
Her subordinates surrounded her, eyes filled with concern and confusion. Fubuki's face flushed bright red in embarrassment.
She was a woman, after all.
To be seen like this—vomiting uncontrollably in front of her own followers—how could she possibly maintain her dignity as their leader after this?
Forcing herself to move, she used her telekinesis to lift her own body and darted away without looking back.
Today… was utterly humiliating.
But that man—"The Light of Z-City"…
He was terrifyingly strong.
In Fubuki's eyes—no, in the eyes of someone who had just been completely overpowered—Zenin Kyūjō's strength wasn't inferior to any of the S-Class heroes.
It had to be said: while Fubuki did acknowledge the power of those in S-Class, aside from her own sister "Tornado of Terror" and the mysterious Rank 1 hero Blast, she had never met another hero she thought capable of defeating her in an instant.
And yet… he did.
In one strike.
The sheer speed of that attack—impossible to read or react to—and the destructive force behind it were beyond comprehension.
The moment that fist came toward her, Fubuki had felt her very soul scream in instinctive terror. Death had been that close.
If Kyūjō hadn't held back—if he hadn't been merely warning her—
She would've been dead with a single punch.
---
What Fubuki didn't know was that among her followers, one had already been secretly bought off… by her sister, Tatsumaki.
Her intent was simple: to keep tabs on her younger sister—and, perhaps, to ensure her safety.
After all, the Blizzard Group had a habit of attracting trouble wherever they went.
In this world, where powerful monsters appeared without warning, Tatsumaki worried that Fubuki might one day cross paths with something she couldn't handle.
Two hours later, while Fubuki was resting at a luxury hotel in Z-City, her phone rang.
"Hello? Ugh, what now?" she answered irritably.
High above the hotel, a petite girl with curled green hair floated midair. Dressed in a tight black dress with a high slit, her arms crossed as her phone hovered in front of her, she spoke with her usual smug confidence.
"I heard you got punched so hard you threw up. By a B-Class hero, no less. Seriously, are you okay? I told you over and over—stop playing around in B-Class like a child!"
Before Fubuki could even respond, Tatsumaki continued sharply,
"Anyway, I'm already in Z-City. Relax. Whoever dared to lay a hand on my little sister… will pay for it."
After confirming through her informant that Fubuki wasn't seriously hurt, Tatsumaki changed direction and shot across the sky—heading straight for Zenin Kyūjō's apartment.
Fubuki's eyes widened the moment she realized where her sister was going.
Her sister's power was beyond logic—devastating on a planetary level.
But that man…
That man wasn't someone to take lightly either.
She couldn't even read him.
Both were among the strongest beings in the Hero Association.
If they clashed over something this trivial, Z-City might not survive the aftermath.
Cursing under her breath, Fubuki forced herself to move despite the lingering ache in her stomach. She hurriedly threw on her clothes, leapt through the hotel window, and took off into the sky—using her telekinesis to pursue her sister.
---
In the blink of an eye—whoosh!—the Tornado of Terror had arrived over Zenin Kyūjō's neighborhood.
She didn't know exactly where the so-called "Light of Z-City" lived…
But at that moment, she didn't care.
This entire area was a no-man's land, crawling with monsters. Even if she obliterated every building here, no civilians would be caught in the destruction.
With that thought, Tatsumaki spread her psychic field wide and unleashed her power. Entire apartment blocks rose screaming into the sky, then came crashing down like meteors.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Within seconds, the district below was reduced to rubble—entire blocks leveled by her overwhelming force.
"If he's strong enough to beat Fubuki in one hit," Tatsumaki muttered with a smirk, "then he won't die just from a few buildings falling on him."
But before she could continue her rampage, a bald man in a faded yellow jumpsuit and white cape bounded across the wreckage, moving toward her with startling speed.
"Hey, hey, hey! You there—little girl. Who are you?"
He stopped mid-leap, looking up at her. "Didn't your parents ever teach you not to destroy other people's houses?"
Before the words even faded, Saitama landed atop one of the buildings Tatsumaki had suspended in midair.
The esper crossed her arms and looked him over with a disgusted glare.
So young—and already bald. The lecherous expression didn't help either. Definitely the kind of guy who… entertained himself too much. Gross.
"Baldy! Who the hell are you?! Don't stick your nose in other people's business! You're not my target—so move!"
"You're the rude one here, kid," Saitama said casually, scratching his head. "But still, wrecking someone's home is wrong, you know?"
A vein pulsed on Tatsumaki's forehead. With a flick of her hand, she flung Saitama high into the air with her telekinesis.
But before she could resume her destruction, a familiar voice shouted from behind her.
"Nee-san!"
Hell Blizzard came flying in, landing between them with a mix of embarrassment and urgency.
"Stop!" she shouted. "That man is really strong—at least S-Class level! You can't just fight him over something this stupid!"
Tatsumaki snorted coldly, raising her chin in arrogance.
"Fubuki! Even among S-Class heroes, there's a massive difference in power!"
"Your big sister here—stands at the very top! Now, tell me where that man lives. I'll make sure he regrets ever touching you!"
Her tone was final—unyielding and absolute.
"Eh...? Wait, so you are here to get revenge on Kyūjō?"
Saitama's voice came out of nowhere, startling both sisters. Somehow, he'd already returned and was standing right beside them again.
Tatsumaki turned sharply, eyes narrowing.
"You know him? So you're working together?!"
Without warning, her psychic power exploded outward.
Every floating structure compressed violently into massive, superdense spheres of stone.
And then—
She hurled them straight at Saitama, who once again found himself caught up in a fight that had nothing to do with him.
