[THE DUNGEONS]
(SCENE)
James and Ein head over to some semi-distant location away from their safehouse.
(TIMESKIP)
James and Ein reach a cave-like tunnel that goes into an intense mountain.
James Belfork: Is this the place?
Ein Felheart: What do you think? *She scoffs.*
James Belfork: "..."
(SCENE)
James and Ein enter the cave that appears to be a dungeon and find themselves facing monsters, not even a few minutes after they had entered.
James opens his storage and takes out what seems to be a sword, and starts thinking of ways to defeat it.
The monster James had faced was a low-class hobgoblin that had a chipped iron sword and was carrying the dead body, which seemed like an adult human male who had been heavily beaten up.
James grinned a little bit before he lunged at the monster, cutting straight through it in one fell swoop.
After killing the hobgoblin, James took a look at the body of the dead male, then used his gluttony skill to absorb their body before absorbing the hobgoblin.
James did not immediately look at the new skills and abilities he had gotten and decided to venture deeper into the dungeon. As James was going through the dungeon, he faced more and more monsters, but they had all been hobgoblins for the most part.
After going deeper and deeper into the dungeon, James eventually found himself at a location where the dungeon split into two paths.
James Belfork: Yo, Ein?
Ein appeared out of thin air.
Ein Felheart: What do you need, kid?
James Belfork: Why is there a fork in the dungeon?
Ein Felheart: One leads to the location where the hobgoblins stay, the,n whilst still going towards to second floor, and the other just leads straight to the second floor.
James Belfork: So, which one goes to where their more hobgoblins?
Ein Felheart: "That should be the one on the left."
James Belfork: "Does that go for all the split paths, or only the first floor?"
Ein Felheart: "It changed after every 3 floors, but more paths are introduced the deeper you go."
James Belfork: "I see."
(SCENE)
James goes down the left path, seeking out more hobgoblins to kill. After a few minutes of following the path, James eventually reaches the main area where the hobgoblins are and scopes it out a little bit before deciding to act.
As James hides himself away and looks at the room, he finds a giant door that probably leads to the second floor, along with a large number of hobgoblins in the whole area.
James thinks of how he's going to beat all the hobgoblins and decides the best course of action would be to rile them all up, then use some of the fire magic he's acquired in the dungeon to kill all of them off simultaneously.
After a breath moment, James fires of a fireball into the room, and grabs the attention of all the hobgoblins in it.
The hobgoblins all head towards the area where they heard the fireball being fired, and end up being grouped in a big herd all together.
James uses the opportunity to go deeper into the room, then fires off another fireball into a more centralised area, where he can more easily kill off all the hobgoblins.
(SCENE)
The fireball James fires off gets the attention of the hobgoblins once more, and they all hurry to where it had landed. When they get there, they are met with the most horrible situation they could have been put in.
James uses a spell he learn from one of the magic books that were at his safe house, and ingolfs the all the hobgoblins in flames.
The hobgoblins try and scatter, but end up tripping over each other, trapping them further, which allowed James to throw more fire magic their way, causing them to die and slow and painful death, being burnt alive.
After a while, hundreds if not thousands of hobgoblins end up dying due to James' fire magic, and eventually, what seems like a boss monster shows up out of almost nowhere.
(SCENE)
James noticed the monster and decided to go to it, so he could gauge its strength to see if he need to change his strategy for the rest of the dungeon.
James gets closer to the monster, and it notices him. After a breath pause, it starts charging toward James, looking for a fight.
As the monster charges towards James, he uses a new spell he learnt from a book to see how effective it is. The spell activates and makes the monster stop in place in a split second, losing all its momentum, before getting frozen over with a thick layer of ice.
James uses his flight ability and takes off at high speeds, heading towards the monster, before unsheathing his sword and slicing straight through it.
After the monster is dealt with, James decides to kill off the remaining amount of hobgoblins in the room and uses his gluttony skill on all of them.
(SCENE)
James leaves the room after killing and absorbing all the monsters and heads off to the next floor.
