"You…"
"They deserve to be judged!"
The Spirit of Vengeance pulsed.
Its flaming skeletal body reached Aron in an instant.
A pair of hollow eye sockets, dark as the abyss, stared at him lethally.
The Eye of Judgment – activated!
"Look at me!"
"Your soul will be…"
The Spirit of Vengeance did not manage to finish the sentence.
Before its eyes bloomed a pure white light, so holy and radiant that it resembled the coming of the Son.
Everything that was dark, corrupted, and ugly retreated before that light.
The light wrapped around Aron.
"Spirit of Vengeance, tell me, am I guilty?"
A misty halo of light enveloped Aron's figure.
He crushed the Eye of Judgment.
"You… innocent…"
The spirit's voice began to tremble.
Aron took each step forward, and the holy light forced the spirit to retreat.
"Not guilty! Not guilty!"
The spirit, pressed by the light, could only turn its skull to the side.
It did not dare look at Aron.
It could only repeat again and again:
"Not guilty… not guilty…"
Aron smiled.
A joke. How could his soul ever be condemned?
God, if he had met him, would probably have given him a cigarette and said: "You're a good guy."
...
"And the people? Where did everyone disappear to?"
The crowd that had entered the mirror dimension vanished as if it had never existed.
From Blackheart's perspective, everything had completely faded away.
At first he thought his eyes deceived him.
But after checking several times, he was certain it had truly vanished.
"Could it be…"
He felt a chill creeping under his skin.
Was this power on the level of the Heavenly Father himself? Had the Ancient One made a move?
"No… It can't be."
"I came here through a small passage. I haven't once used full power since arriving."
"She shouldn't have detected me… right?"
Blackheart felt fear.
His gaze grew increasingly suspicious, constantly darting around.
At that moment, the vanished Aron and his group appeared again.
But the two Spirits of Vengeance who had fought them had now returned to human form.
"Don't expect to become the goddess of thunder next time."
"If you get another chance, you'd better put in more effort. As you are now, you're useless."
Aron looked at the women in his group, his tone filled with disappointment.
He had wanted it to look like a spectacular Hollywood blockbuster with special effects.
In the end, he got something closer to a film with religious propaganda.
And he was the lead actor.
"So… Mephisto summoned both of you?"
Aron turned to Johnny and Robbie.
"Hmm."
Johnny nodded.
He fully confirmed his contract with Mephisto.
Robbie, on the other hand, nervously explained his reasons.
He had no other way out.
Against such an enemy, one could neither win nor escape.
Mephisto had threatened his uncle's soul, and he had no choice.
"I see…"
"One sought freedom, the other tried to save his family."
Aron listened to their explanation and thought for a while.
Seeing Robbie's worried gaze, he smiled warmly.
"Don't worry, Robbie. I'm known for not being vengeful."
But then his tone changed.
His gaze fell toward the place where Blackheart was hiding.
"But you'll have to do me a small favor."
"???"
When he realized Aron was looking straight at him, Blackheart's face filled with questions.
How was that possible?
He, a powerhouse capable of becoming the embodiment of the Heavenly Father himself.
How could a mere human discover his location?
---
Although Blackheart had a mess of questions in his mind, he was now bound by blazing chains. His hands, feet, and tail were tied, and he was thrown before Aron.
He no longer had the chance to ask.
"How dare you do this to the son of the Lord of Hell!?"
Blackheart lay on the ground and roared angrily. His black body writhed on the ground like a cocoon.
"Oh."
"Now you remember you're someone's son? When you rebelled last time, why didn't you think of that person as your father?"
Aron squatted down, casually bent a twig from a flower bed, and jabbed it into Blackheart's body.
"Ahhh!!"
"You'll regret this, human! Wait for me…"
Blackheart wanted to say he would kill them all once freed, but he stopped. At that moment he saw Aron. Once he had been unable to perceive his true strength, but now Aron's aura was completely unveiled.
"… Are you the Heavenly Father?"
Blackheart's voice suddenly grew quieter. His body no longer writhed on the ground. Instead, he looked confused.
The holy soul his father wanted to collect was the Heavenly Father? Wasn't that insane? What use was there in confronting the Heavenly Father, who did not appear himself but instead sent two demonic knights?
"Wait a minute! This is a trap! I fell for this old trick!"
Smack!
Blackheart barely managed to react when Aron slapped him hard. A father's slap was not pleasant. The Heavenly Father made no exception.
For a moment Blackheart felt as if he had returned to his childhood in hell.
"Say one more word. The controlling force will lop off your head and kick it like a ball."
A flaming saber appeared out of nowhere and descended onto his neck.
Blackheart didn't dare move. He recognized the weapon. It was the saber of the Lord of Limbo, Belath.
"Here's how it will be. I ask, you answer. Say one wrong word or add more than you should, and you'll end up stabbed."
Aron knew Blackheart might not grasp the seriousness. That's why he, in advance, cut him and tore off a piece of flesh.
"I understand! I understand!" Blackheart quickly nodded.
"Who sent you?"
Aron raised his hand and struck him, tearing off one of his arms.
Blackheart, enduring the intense pain, clenched his teeth and did not dare say a word.
"I'm asking you, how did you come… what's the name of that hell of yours?"
"The Blazing Hell."
"Alright. How did you come from the Blazing Hell to Earth?"
Aron asked this question because the core of the Temple had not detected the opening of a dimensional channel. That meant only two possibilities. Either Blackheart possessed the power to conceal it from the Temple's core (which was unlikely), or there was another way to cross between dimensions.
"I came through a small passage."
"A small passage?" Aron heard that term for the first time.
"It's a fissure in the plane of hell. Once it was whole, but later it split into multiple dimensions. In those fragments there are gaps, through which passage is possible. But the crossing is very risky. If you're not careful, you'll get lost in the void. Still, the advantage is that no force can detect it."
Blackheart explained with a touch of fear. In that way, he had managed twice to escape his father, whose power was on the level of the Heavenly Father, and secretly arrive on Earth.
"… Useless."
Aron listened to the explanation and felt disappointed. He had hoped to learn of a more powerful way of traveling through dimensions. The result was only this.
"You've disappointed me, Blackheart."
When he said this, the blade once again rested on Blackheart's neck.
"Wait! I know Mephisto's weakness!"
Seeing Aron about to swing the saber, Blackheart quickly shouted.
"Speak." Aron stopped.
"A weapon tainted with holy blood! That's your blood! Although it's not enough to kill Mephisto, it can seriously weaken him!"
Blackheart spoke excitedly. That was exactly why he risked passing through the void and came to Earth. He wanted to seize the holy souls.
"If you don't submit, Blackheart, be prepared to live like a dog and a horse, without honor."
"… Fine, then tell me something about your plan."
Aron lowered the saber, but his gaze didn't soften.
