Chapter 132 - Chapter 132

Buzz——!

With the flash of annihilation beams.

The strongest warrior of the Eternals, Ikaris, also fell.

In the middle of his forehead, a huge hole opened, piercing his head from front to back.

"..."

Tony stared blankly at the scene.

From beginning to end, he hadn't even had the chance to fire, he was only a spectator.

Now he finally understood why Aron had told him earlier: unless the problem reached the level of Earth's destruction, don't call him, because otherwise the Avengers would be useless.

"Now I somewhat understand how ordinary people feel when they look at me."

"Some people are simply unreachable." Tony looked completely shocked.

In the eyes of ordinary people, he was the unreachable super genius.

After all, the difference in intelligence isn't something that can be bridged by hard work alone.

But now Aron had become an unreachable being in Tony's eyes as well. No matter how many sleepless nights he spent, no matter how hard he worked on new armors and technology, he knew he would never catch up to Aron's steps.

"Since I can't catch up to him… then let's at least win him over."

Tony quickly averted his gaze.

It was enough to be on good terms with such a man. Even if just the crumbs of his power spilled over onto you, it was more than enough to elevate you.

"Well played!" Tony leaned forward, smiling, looking almost servile.

"..."

Aron completely ignored Tony.

Just when he was about to finish off Ikaris, suddenly a voice appeared.

It wasn't hard to conclude that the other side had established contact with him through an ability similar to sound transmission magic.

"Hey, hey, hey? Who just called me earlier?"

"Can you hear me? Hey, hey?"

Aron spread his consciousness as far as he could.

But he couldn't find the owner of that voice.

Instead, he unexpectedly noticed something else.

"Hm?"

"I almost overlooked you."

Aron just flicked his fingers, and several enormous tentacles, like pythons, shot out into the distance.

It looked as though their length stretched infinitely, wrapping around space like something that belonged to Cthulhu itself.

"Ahh!"

With a scream, a tentacle wrapped around someone's ankle.

From the shadows, a humanoid being that had tried to remain invisible was dragged out. The tentacle yanked it back with violent force.

At the moment of pulling, the concealment failed.

Sprite, childlike in appearance, was revealed.

As the master of illusions among the Eternals, Sprite could create hallucinations that looked as real as reality itself, and even use illusions to become invisible.

"Let me go! Let me go!"

Sprite struggled as the tentacles dragged her swiftly across the ground.

Soon she was brought before Aron.

"Little friend, do you really think invisibility will save you?"

Aron stood before Sprite, who hung upside down in the tentacles. His mouth stretched into a wide, terrifying grin, revealing white teeth.

Combined with the writhing tentacles around her, the sight was terrifying.

"I'm not a child! I'm thousands of years old!"

Sprite fought in panic.

But the tentacles only tightened further. The force was so great it nearly snapped her joints.

Tears welled up in her eyes from the pain.

"Excellent," said Aron coldly. "I was worried your killing wouldn't be troublesome."

Sprite's body looked like that of a child, but she was actually older than most humans on Earth.

Aron laughed, and his eyes once again glowed with purple light, the energy of annihilation beams.

"Please stop!"

"Don't kill anymore!"

Just as Aron was about to act, the female voice from before appeared again, this time full of anxiety.

Bang~~~~

He didn't know if he was imagining it, but it seemed as though the ground beneath his feet trembled slightly.

"Who are you?" Aron frowned.

The voice rang out again.

"My name is Tiamut!"

"Perhaps you haven't heard of me."

"But I am on this planet, beneath your feet. I am the god of Earth."

"I am the one who told Ajak what I thought—I don't want to be born, I don't want to destroy this planet."

The female voice carried a trace of worry.

She feared that if she circled around too much, Sprite would immediately die by Aron's hand.

What kind of spirit, what kind of exaltedness! Why does this man act so swiftly and mercilessly?

"..."

Aron listened to Tiamut's words.

But only one thought came to mind: "You… are you still divided into male and female?"

"Celestials have no gender."

"But we can change our outward appearance and voice at will."

"That makes it easier to communicate with people like you."

Tiamut spoke plainly.

Its consciousness was born on Earth, tied to the customs of this world. That's why it chose to take on a voice and form humans could understand.

"Oh…"

"Genderless, huh?" Aron's voice was full of disappointment.

"So, Tiamut… I won't kill the other members of the Eternals, but this one here…"

Aron paused, sharply glaring at Sprite, who looked like a ten-year-old girl.

That look clearly said: "Just wait, I'll find a reason to kill you."

"Uh…"

Sprite finally burst into tears.

She had lived for thousands of years. But since her body had never grown, and her brain development could never reach the level of adults, in a certain sense, Sprite was a child who had lived for far too long.

And it was well known that what Aron despised most, were brats.

"I can't kill the others, but this brat hit my good friend Tony."

To be honest… if he hadn't been worried that Tiamut might panic and break through from underground, he would have finished her long ago.

Aron didn't even need to look for a reason. What do you call it when you fight a brat?

That's called, good education!

Teaching someone a lesson is a good deed!

"..."

After hearing Aron's explanation, Tiamut fell silent.

What could it even say? How many other Eternals are there that "you can't kill"?

The problem was, most of them were already dead or incapacitated. The rest lay unconscious, with broken arms and legs.

"You are a disciple of the Ancient One, aren't you?"

"When I return, I will inform the Ancient One of this and let him judge."

Tiamut was silent for a long time, then decided to utter at least a short threat.

"..."

"Alright, let's each take a step back."

"I won't kill this brat."

"But under one condition, you must strip her of her Eternal powers. And I believe you can do it."

Aron was not at all afraid of Tiamut's "threat."

The only reason he paused was because he didn't want to unnecessarily disturb the Ancient One.

Still, one thing was certain: Aron respected elders, but he had no patience for insolent children.

And Sprite, unfortunately, fell into the type he despised most.
