Under Hercules' guidance, Aron and the others reached the surviving gods.
At first glance, it was hard to even call them gods.
The first was a large stone man, decorated with strange objects, among which a pair of scissors stood out in particular.
It was the same stone god who appeared in the movie Thor 4 – Ninny of the Nonny.
"Ninny of the Nonny."
Seeing Aron and the others staring at the decorations, the god immediately began to explain.
But obviously, no one present understood a single word.
The second was the God of Hair.
His appearance was almost grotesque, only a head with two legs directly beneath it, no body and no arms.
The only striking feature was his thick hair and beard.
His power was bizarre: he could cure baldness.
"Coulson should light candles for this guy," Aron thought to himself, unable to resist an ironic tone.
The third surviving god was a chubby white man, with two grape-like clusters on his head.
However, fear had completely overtaken him, he squatted on the ground, nervously snorting like a frightened horse.
"Dionysus. Dionysus of Olympus," Hercules explained, sighing lightly, for he had no choice but to introduce him.
Aron was already convinced that these three were the only survivors, when he suddenly felt he had stepped on something soft and sticky.
He lowered his gaze.
Before his feet bounced a small, round bun in cartoon style.
When it realized Aron was looking at it, it blinked its big eyes and gave him a look full of innocent curiosity.
"What are you, anyway?"
"Dumpling?"
The God of Dumplings Bao conjured a small hand out of dough and from it produced a hot, fragrant dumpling. With great effort, he lifted it and offered it to Aron.
"Hm…"
"Are you sure I can eat this?"
Aron hesitated, but still took the dumpling and carefully bit into it.
His eyes immediately widened.
This taste… was incredible!
He had never tasted anything so perfect before.
Surprised and enchanted, Aron quickly glanced around, made sure no one was paying attention, then decisively opened a miniature portal and gently kicked the God of Dumplings inside.
"Hm?"
"Where is the God of Dumplings?"
Hercules soon noticed one of the survivors was missing and looked around in confusion.
"I… I don't know."
Aron casually shook his head, chewing the last bite of the dumpling Bao had prepared.
For a god like the Dumpling, who had no combat power and could only rely on cooking, life in New York was incomparably safer than staying in this massacre.
It seemed Hercules agreed as well.
"Later…"
The surviving gods, Dionysus, the God of Hair, and the Stone God, began recounting what had happened.
Their testimonies were horrifying.
It all began at the banquet. Everything was as usual – laughter, song, drink.
And then two God-Slayers entered.
One of them was even more powerful than the other.
He wielded a terrifying sword and with his first blows struck down two Titans who stood guard at the gates.
After that, he began killing one by one, the most powerful gods present at the banquet.
At the same time, he summoned hordes of dark monsters that blocked every possible path of escape.
The gods were trapped like in a snare.
That slayer killed all the mighty gods… one by one.
The weaker ones, those without combat power, like the God of Dumplings, Dionysus, or the God of Hair, were left to the other god-slayer.
And then they left.
"Then how did you survive?" Aron asked.
"Ni!!!" The stone god nodded, as if confirming.
"That's not what I asked."
Aron was helpless. He really couldn't understand what he was saying.
"The god-slayer who stayed…it seemed his intent to kill wasn't heavy."
"He only asked us... if there was a way to bring dead people back…"
"Of course… we couldn't do that, so we told him he had to go to Eternity." Dionysus burped as he occasionally explained.
These western gods really weren't reliable.
In those moments, Aron thought of Ta-Lo.
However, when he asked Hercules if there was any news of the eastern gods, the latter shook his head.
"Ta-Lo completely closed its entrance hundreds of years ago."
"Even Kun-Lun shut its gates."
"Not to mention the God-Slayer, even we ourselves cannot find the entrance. I haven't seen them in a long time."
Hercules then began talking about his acquaintance from youth with Nezha, the mischievous god of the East.
Yes, in the Marvel universe, Nezha was depicted as the god of mischief.
"Well, looks like there's no chance for me to fight Sun Wukong."
Hearing that Ta-Lo was closed, Aron was somewhat disappointed.
But on the other hand, it was also good.
If he couldn't see the Eastern Immortals, then Gorr the God-Slayer wouldn't reach there either.
Thus at least the tragedy of Asgard and the City of All-Knowledge wouldn't befall Ta-Lo.
…
"Looks like we're dealing with two God-Slayers, dear." Hela had listened carefully to Dionysus and drew the conclusion.
Aron was also curious.
What exactly did this conqueror, Gorr, want to achieve?
Could it be that he had come here only to begin his god-killing spree in this world in advance?
Wait a moment…
Wouldn't that sound more like Kang the Conqueror? Gathering his variants and leading a god-hunt through the multiverse?
"Forget it. No matter what idea you have, it's a pity you ran into me." Aron lightly shook his head.
In truth, he didn't hate Gorr.
Although he was set up as the villain, Aron somewhat understood some of his views.
If he could, he would rather use an exorcism card to send him back to his universe.
But…
Who forced him to wander around with the All-Black the Necrosword?
As one of the most dangerous weapons in the Marvel universe, that weapon was created to kill a Celestial.
Its power perfectly suppressed Celestials.
And Aron…
Just so happened to need exactly such a weapon.
"Quite convenient, isn't it?"
"Some friends come from afar, even if they are far away!" Aron pulled out the Eye of Agamotto.
He activated tracking through the Time Stone.
But what he saw was only a dark, lifeless space. He couldn't discern anything concrete.
It seemed like some separate dimension.
And…
"Why does this feel so familiar?"
Aron put away the Eye of Agamotto.
That dark space gave him a strangely familiar feeling.
"Hey!"
"We have a situation!"
Just as Aron was thinking about that dark space, Hercules' protective seal suddenly flickered twice.
"I've received a call for help from Ares!"
"He's with Thor!"
"They were attacked by the God-Slayer!"
