Chapter 18 - Kidnapped.

It was already night now, and I still had to clean his private room and wash the dishes before going to bed. I took the vacuum cleaner and made my way to his room. His private room was located at the west wing of his room. So, it wasn't very difficult to find.

Getting there, the room was dark, the only light was from the moonlight streaming in through the window. As I moved further towards his private room, I could see soft brightness coming out through the slightly opened door.

He must be there, I thought before pushing the door open, and what I saw next snuck the air out of my lungs.

On the massive bed, under the thick sheet was 'my husband'. But he wasn't alone. A naked woman was beneath him, moaning loudly in pain and pleasure as he pounded roughly into her.

A gasp escaped my lips and the vacuum cleaner fell from my hand, the sound grabbing their attention.

Alexander turned to me with a frown on his face as if he was being disturbed, but when he saw me, the frown was replaced by a blank expression.

"What are you doing here?" He asked, snapping me back to reality.

"I… I wanted to clean the room…" I stuttered.

"I'm busy here, come back later when I am done," he said flatly and turned his attention back to the woman underneath him.

"Yes… sir…"

Picking up the vacuum cleaner, I tried to see who the woman was, but her disheveled strawberry hair covered her face, making it difficult to make out her appearance.

"What are you still waiting for?" Her delicate voice rang in annoyance and I realized I was still staring at them.

"I…I am sorry for disturbing you. I will leave now," I said awkwardly and hurried out of the room.

I rushed through the hallway finding my way to the kitchen. When I got there, I sat on a chair as my legs couldn't hold my weight any longer. They felt numb and my heart beat rapidly in my chest.

"What did I just see?" I whispered, still in shock.

I closed my eyes and let out a deep sign.

It's nothing, Anna. Just pretend as if you didn't see anything, I comforted myself. Opening my eyes again, I stood up to wash the dishes.

Yet, the images of him thrusting into her and the sound of her moans kept appearing in my mind, even when I tried to shut it off and focus on finishing my work, those images wouldn't leave my head. They became even more vivid and tormenting with each passing time, and it slowly made my heart burned with anger, sadness and confusion.

How could him? How dare he turn my life in a walking nightmare while pleasuring himself without another woman? Who did he think he was that he could treat me the way he wanted? The only reason I agreed to marry him was to get my necklace, and now he wouldn't even do that for me, so why was I still here allowing him to treat me like this?

Tears filled my eyes, blurring my vision. I wiped my tears with the back of my palm, and made my way to the master bedroom. I was fed up with him and everything related to him. I wouldn't stay still and succumbed to this hell.

Packing some clothes in my backpack, I sneaked out of the house. It was dark, and the lights outside the mansion were turned off, so no one could see me. I quietly escaped through the gate and found myself in the dark, empty streets.

I didn't know where I was going, but I kept moving. Maybe I would take a cab to Katie's place, then figured out my life afterwards. But there was no cab. The mansion was on the outskirts of the city. I needed to go down the main road to see one.

Just as I thought about that, four men appeared from behind a closed restaurant, holding weapons in their hands. It was as if they had been waiting for me. Fear spiraled through me. I didn't know who these men were, but I knew they were dangerous. I took a step back and without thinking, I took to my heels.

I ran even faster, my heart in my throat, pounding in my ears when I noticed they were chasing me. But after some time, I couldn't run anymore. I was out of breath and my legs were wobbling.

Before I could think of what else to do, a hand came around my waist and another one covered my face with a piece of clothes. I tried to struggle against the grip and breath for air, but a stinging smell filled my nose, and slowly, my eyelids became heavy and my body went numb.

Opening my eyes, I groaned at the throbbing pain in my head.

I blinked several times, trying to adjust my eyes to the darkness, before I realized that I was tied to a chair. My wrist and legs were also tied. My throat burned and felt sore. I needed something to drink, but I couldn't move.

I carefully looked around the room, it was empty. Who were those men and what did they want from me? I thought as fear crept its way into my mind.

Suddenly, the door to the room opened and four men entered.

"Look who is finally awake," one of them said, holding a knife. "Let's get straight to business. Do you want to call anyone to bring money, or what do you want to do?"

Who would I call to bring money? Was it the Alexander I escaped from or my father who had nothing to do with me? Who?

When I didn't answer, "Cat got your tongue?" Another one sneered, stepping forward. He was bigger, broader, with tattoos snaking his arms. "Or do we need to loosen it for you?"

I shook my head quickly, my heart hammering in my chest. I have never been this scared in my life.

Another man chuckled. "Smart girl. But we're just getting started."

He reached out and grabbed my chin, forcing me to look at him. His hand was so rough, and his fingers dung into my skin. "What were you doing out there alone, huh? A pretty little thing like you, wandering the street at night? Asking for trouble, weren't you?"

I tried to pull away, but his grip tightened.

"You're going to make me repeat myself?" He hissed.

"I…I was just trying to get home…" I stammered, tears gathering in my eyes.

"Home? Doesn't look like you got there, does it?" They all laughed. It sounded so cruel and mocking.

"It's enough talking, brother," Tattooed Arms said, stepping even more closer. "Since you won't get us money, let's go to the other part…"

"She is a beauty, by the way," the one holding my chin grinned. "And looks rich too. But you know what, I hate rich people," he added, disgusted.

"Yeah, but come on brother, she's really pretty," the tattooed arms said, as he eyed my breasts, and I immediately regret ever wearing a deep neck dress today. I regretted that I left the mansion at night and regretted acting on my impulse. If I wasn't irrational and bent on getting away from him, this wouldn't have happened to me, now it was too late. I knew what these men wanted. I could see it in their lustful gazes.

My head throbbed painfully, and my heart pounded in my chest. I wanted to throw up because of fear.

"Money comes first for us," the man said, releasing me and the tattooed man took over.

"Yeah, we can still have fun and chase money," he said.

Grabbing the neckline of my dress, he swiftly ripped it open, exposing my bare skin to the cold night air. I was screaming and crying inside, but nothing came out of my mouth. Tears filled my eyes as he grabbed my breast and squeezed it.

"No… please stop," I cried.

"Shh, don't cry," he said and placed his finger on my lips. "Tears won't get you anywhere."

Anger surged through me, and I bit his finger, then screamed for help as loud as I could. But the other man slapped me across the face with such force that I tasted blood in my mouth. My sore throat burned even more from the scream, and the sting in my face made tears run down my cheeks.

"Fucking bitch!" The tattooed arms I bit growled, looking at his finger. As if the first slap wasn't enough, he slapped me again on the same cheek. Then he grabbed my hair and yanked my head backward. I wanted to spit on his face, but I couldn't bear another slap; my face was already in too much pain.

"I will make you wish you never thought of biting me."
