Atop a nameless peak high above the clouds, a single pavilion rested in silence, surrounded by drifting wind and swirling cloud.
The view from there was breathtakingly serene, with crane and immortal bird gliding gracefully through the mist.
Inside, the pavilion's chamber was quiet... frozen in both air and time as delicate snowflakes drifted through the still air.
Frost had crept along the carved windows, and a thin mist lingered above the polished floor.
A single sandalwood bed stood near the open window, its sheets pale as moonlight and its pillows embroidered with silver threads.
Reclining upon that bed was a woman.
Her mere presence seemed to command both silence and reverence, while also carrying an otherworldly grace.
Her long hair, white as freshly fallen snow, cascaded down her back, tied into a high ponytail with a golden jade hairpin that shimmered faintly under the soft light.
