Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: The Birth of a God

Marvel Cinematic Universe - Non-Sacred Timeline

In New York, at the headquarters of the League of Assassins in Textile City, Sloan was about to check the sacred loom for any new mission targets. As he examined the loom through a magnifying glass, he began recording the new ciphertext. Upon deciphering it, he was shocked to see his own name appear.

"How is it possible?" Sloan murmured, stunned. "How could it be my name? It must be the loom's fault..." Yet, he reassured himself, "The loom of fate doesn't make mistakes."

Ensuring no other members were around, Sloan cut off the piece of cloth bearing his name. Bewildered, he pondered his fate. For over a thousand years, no member had appeared on the loom, which marked those deserving to die. Should he follow the rules and end his life? He hesitated.

As he grappled with these thoughts, a stream of light appeared from space, heading toward Earth. It carried a baby surrounded by seven dragon balls. The light pierced the roof of the Assassins' textile factory, instantly killing Sloan.

The impact destroyed the Loom of Destiny, scattering its parts, while the dragon balls became meteors and dispersed, turning into stones across the world.

Hearing the commotion, members rushed in, calling for Sloan. Upon entering, they saw a baby amidst the loom's wreckage and Sloan's lifeless body clutching a piece of cloth.

"What happened?" exclaimed the pharmacist. The Cross checked Sloan and confirmed there was no hope. He took the cloth from Sloan's hand.

In the meeting room, the League's leaders gathered. The Gunsmith inquired, "What did you find?"

Mr. X reported, "The Loom of Destiny was destroyed, and Sloan died on the spot. We lost both our leader and our guiding loom."

The Butcher asked, "Who is the enemy?"

The Cross replied, "There is no enemy."

Surprised, they examined the document and cloth. "How could Sloan's name appear on it?" they wondered.

Mr. X mentioned the mysterious baby, deemed a "gift from God" by the pharmacist. "This child ended the past of the League and made a choice for Sloan," he declared.

The Cross agreed, suggesting, "This child will be named Smith Doyle, with the title of GOD."

The Gunsmith and the Butcher questioned the future without the loom. The Cross proposed focusing on proven evildoers based on intelligence, akin to superheroes.

The League decided to nurture Smith Doyle, hoping he could fulfill his potential. As a child who fell from the sky, he carried many mysteries.
