"And why have you been looking for us?" Aaric asked. He glanced at the other two Daemons and saw them trying to make themselves as small as possible with looks of despair in their eyes.
"I... thought you may need help and requested leave from my Lord for two days," Diablo said with a laugh and a grin.
Aaric looked at Diablo with thinned lips and a deadpan look.
"Right...," Aaric said and shrugged, already having a guess of what had happened.
Aaric then showed Diablo the vial and gestured to the Archdaemons. "Guess," Aaric said.
Diablo looked at the Daemons and then inspected the vial closely before snarling. "Such great potential... and it was snuffed out by two lowly Archdaemons. After maturation, it would have made a good servant for my Lord," Diablo said, glaring at the two Daemons.
"I heard you demons regenerate after death. Do I let the energy disperse so it may reform again?" Aaric suggested.
"No... it will not help. This one seems different," Diablo said with a shake of his head. "To think one of my own line was responsible for this...," Diablo muttered, glancing at the black-haired Daemon.
"Well... what can we do now?" Aaric asked.
"I will give these two an appropriate punishment, and I am sure my Lord can do something with this," Diablo said, glancing at the Daemons then gesturing to the vial.
"I have my own methods for this. Just deal with the Daemons as you see fit," Aaric said, putting the vial in his pouch before taking some energy from both the Archdaemons and storing it.
"I trust you will give a fitting rebirth to Argent," Diablo muttered before picking up the Daemons by the collar and vanishing.
"Argent?" Daphne asked.
"Their names are based on their colors in French. So, the silver one should be called Argent," Aaric explained.
Diablo returned after Aaric finished his sentence, and no one asked what happened to the Daemons.
"What would you like to explore now?" Diablo asked after returning.
"Well, I have the magical energy of two of the color types: Red and Black. I wish to collect samples of others as well, and then we will return to explore the Labyrinth a little more," Aaric said.
"Why do you wish to collect the seven demonic energies?" Diablo asked, tilting his head.
"I will research them to help Argent," Aaric said with a shrug.
Diablo nodded and snapped his fingers. Seven Lesser Daemons appeared in front of them; they looked like hounds and did not seem to have much intelligence.
"These are Lesser Daemons of each kind. You can use them as a replenishing source of energy instead of taking samples from each type," Diablo said and formed seven transparent spheres in front of him to store the seven Daemons.
"I based these spheres on the core of Charybdis my Lord acquired. They should suffice in storing these Daemons alive," Diablo explained.
"Thank you," Aaric thanked Diablo and stored the spheres, which were glowing in seven different colors now.
"Just... spare a word on my behalf when you talk to my Lord, please," Diablo said with a rare, nervous smile.
"Deal," Aaric said with a smile.
"If you may, Love," Aaric asked Daphne, and she formed a portal beside her, leading to the Eleventh floor of the Labyrinth.
The three then entered the portal, giving Diablo a wave.
"Well, let's explore further," Daphne commented before killing some monsters with her spear just as they appeared in the Labyrinth.
The further floors were a breeze, as expected. Daphne would charge at any monster she came across and either kill it in one shot or take her time if she had a technique in mind she wanted to perfect.
Aaric also joined in after a little, cutting down Giant Wolves, Rock Golems, Shadow Bats, and Poison Spiders with a swing of his sword at first. But then he started making runic circles around the monsters and began experimenting with performing complex rituals mid-battle.
"The magic in the air gets thicker the deeper we go, and there is even a magical signature to it," Luna commented.
"Yes, all this magic is formed from the aura of a True Dragon, Veldora," Aaric answered with a nod.
"Would this dragon be a challenge to us?" Daphne asked; she seemed a little bored by this point.
"I don't know about a challenge, but he will certainly be interesting to fight," Aaric said with a chuckle, poking Daphne's nose.
The party then moved to the boss room on the 20th floor to find an Evil Centipede guarding the floor.
"All yours," Daphne said, nudging Aaric.
Aaric moved towards the centipede and took out his wand, for the first time in this world. He made a circle with his wand as the ground around the centipede was transfigured and formed a ritual circle around it.
The circle glowed, and the centipede disintegrated in a moment, leaving behind some materials. A magic core and a scroll were left behind in the ritual circle.
The core was stored in their pouch while Aaric picked up the scroll. "See? This monster is known for its poison and regeneration. I isolated the regeneration factor and formed it into a skill scroll," Aaric commented, showing the scroll to Luna and Daphne.
"Will this scroll work in our world if we give it to a friend? We have better regeneration than this, so I don't think we will need it," Luna asked.
"Yes, this scroll will changed their bodies in a way they will be able to regenerate from wounds." Aaric nodded.
'Floor twenty safe point added' Their bracelets showed the message as they entered the door that had appeared after they defeated the floor twenty guardian and emerged on Floor twenty one.
From Floor twenty one, Aaric took the lead to practice his ritual magic.
{You have gained the Extra Skill: Quick Inscription}
{You have gained the Extra Skill: Circle Stabilization}
Aaric heard the voice of the world in his mind, and some information regarding the formation of ritual circles entered his mind. Quick Inscription has the function of forming the ritual circles, and Circle Stabilization has the function of repairing any flaws when forming a ritual circle.
Aaric shook his head. "These levels of skills are not really giving me anything new," he thought.
The Floor thirty boss was a group of Ogre Lords led by an Ogre Mage.
"How about after I defeat them we come back for when they respawn and you can get some training with them as well?" Aaric asked Daphne.
"I am sure we will get groups like this in the lower floors," Daphne said with a shrug.
Aaric nodded and waved his wand in a circle, as he did before. He was not really fighting the bosses; he would just form the ritual circles outside their range and defeat them before they even got ready to fight him.
"So we got Ogre Strength, Minion Summoning... and Observer," Aaric said, looking at the various skill scrolls he got. "Observer seems to be a Sage-type skill. I think we all should integrate this scroll," Aaric added, looking at Daphne and Luna.
The girls nodded, and Aaric used the scroll on all three of them.
"These skills are what we really want," Aaric said with a grin.
A/n: Please gimme your thoughts and reviews on the chapter.
If you go on my profile or search "Game of thrones: Ra's journey' on webnovel you will see I have compiled all the GOT chapters in that separate fic. This is because someone told me when I upload a side chapter in a completely different world it can be jarring, which I understand.
So, i will be uploading side story chapters here as usual but you don't need to read them here if you find the shift to be confusing and you can just read the chapters there all as once when we reach the GOT world in the main story as well.
Powers stones, tho.. imma need them now.
