The city was eerily quiet.
Usually, the capital of the Demon Realm was a cacophony of screams, brawls, and the grinding of war machines. But with Demon Lords waiting for Sunny outside the multiverse of Gods and Belial preparing his invasion force, the streets were empty of the high-ranking nobility and the demon Gods.
In a dimly lit tavern near the city center, a figure rose from a round table. He wore a cloak woven from shadows, his face obscured by a hood.
"It's time to start the next part of my plan," the figure whispered, tossing a pouch of coins onto the table.
He walked out into the crimson twilight.
It was Lom, the Demon God of Secrets. While the Lords were busy playing war, he was playing his own secret game.
