Chapter 56 - STROKES AND SENTENCES.

"What are you talking about?" Kalion spat.

"Answer me. Someone else handled this sword and the person isn't me." Howard frowned, using his fingers to trace the line of the sword.

"Tch. I gave it to the old man beside your shop," he answered.

Howard hummed, and then he walked to the staff he had placed on the table.

"Here. Thank you for staying with me. I'd handle it from here." Howard gave the staff to Reith.

Although he didn't understand why Howard had suddenly changed his mind, Reith took the staff nonetheless.

"Thank you. Are you sure you can take it alone?"

"Pfft. Carter has no true strength, and I plan to give him an earful about tampering with my creation. Kalion, I'd let your boss hear of your bad behaviour. If you had just calmed down, then we could have talked things out. The damage you created is worth 1000 gold credits. Tch, imagine breaking my clients' weapon."

Howard delivered his verdict with such hardness that Kalion nearly choked on his own blood.
