Chapter 47 - Chapter 47 – The Other Evelyn

The lab in Geneva hissed as the cryo-chamber unlocked with a hydraulic groan.

Inside, Subject 10—a perfect genetic twin of Evelyn—opened her eyes.

But unlike Evelyn's warm hazel gaze, these eyes were glacial blue. Empty. Calculating.

"Vitals are stable," the technician whispered. "But she's… different."

The Director stepped forward, lips curling into a cruel smile.

"She was designed to be."

Milan – Evelyn's apartment

The nightmares were back. This time, they weren't just memories.

She saw herself, covered in blood, standing over a corpse. A mirror image, but not her.

She jolted awake, gasping.

"That wasn't a dream," she murmured. "It was a warning."

Just then, her burner phone buzzed. An encrypted message:

"They activated 10. RUN." – N

Evelyn's hands trembled. "Noah, what the hell did you do?"

Hart Group Private Jet – En Route to Zurich

Adrian sat alone, scanning the documents Evelyn had uploaded to the cloud.

He stopped at one photo.

A girl. Curled in the corner of a sterile white room. Two girls.

"They cloned her?"

He stood suddenly. "Pilot, divert to Geneva."

"Sir, Geneva is restricted airspace—"

"Not for me. Get me there. Now."

Back in Geneva – inside the lab

Subject 10 stared into a mirror. She touched her face, lips, then smiled—a terrifying, practiced smile.

"She's weak," she said in a cold, robotic tone. "I'm not."

"Your mission," the Director said calmly, "is to eliminate Subject 09."

Subject 10 didn't hesitate.

"Affirmative. Termination protocol initiated."

And with that, she walked out, barefoot and lethal, into the night.
