Chapter 23 - CHAPTER 22

CHAPTER 22

Bob looked at the man who was sitting there doing nothing. He had never seen a person who had no hope in his eyes before. He looked at him and sighed. He looked at his smartwatch that had received the message from his slave that she was ready to come here. He had planned to get her here as he could simply teleport to there.

But for now, he had to morally kidnap Paul so as to let Paul beg Sebastian to forgive Alexander. But in all manner, it was hard to let Sebastian forgive someone who had slept with his sister and had broken the leg of his beloved uncle.

If he fails in all attempts, he will simply enslave Sebastian and ask him to forgive Sebastian and let him live as usual. As long as the fight is stopped, everything else will be over. He just did not want to bring Sebastian under him as he does not plan to ever let the world know that he can enslave people. If the world knew it, he will either enslave the whole world or destroy human civilization and live with the last surviving humans who were people enslaved by him.

So for now, he smiled and said to the nurse by the side, "Upgrade his residence to a special ward. I shall pay for his subsequent treatments."

Paul got angry and said, "Do you really thing that just spending some money on me can let me forgive that bastard?"

Bob smiled and sat on the nearby chair. He smiled and asked, "Wouldn't being able to stand be good enough to let you forgive him?"

Paul got angry and then said, "I heard the captain mention that you were a bureaucrat. So what if you are someone strong. You cannot save my legs that needs a rod to be inserted to let me have a chance of walking. Do you think that you are some wizard to heal me that these doctors could not heal? And even if you heal me, why should I forgive him who had broken my leg in the first place."

Bob smiled and said, "You think that the government cannot do anything, do you. There are records of groups like yours who think that the government cannot act against a large number of people. The village of Harrapa who teamed up with drug leaders fired at the police officer trying to make them give it up. We simply wanted them to go to the jail for six months as detention that was specially assigned for mass arrest of large criminal groups. This was not the first time that people show loyalty to their family and feudal lord than their democratic and republic country. So the IB there like me who just had enough authority gave the order to the military division that was bought under his control as per the protocol. All the villagers were killed. Only those below 14 years old were left to live and they were forced to forget all about themselves, made to remember new things and undertaken into the imperial army. There was the village group under Hale who was a strong politician. He bought weapons from the nearby army, crossing the border and even had planned to betray the nation. No army was sent. A carpet strike was done."

Bob got near Paul and spoke in a harsh manner enhancing his aura over outside pressuring Paul, "Nobility is built through blood and war and this country is still run by such people who are nobles. We have only lost the noble lineage and ruling ideas but the ones who are in position are nobles in all manner, except that their position cannot be inherited and they cannot be called a noble. So you should act within the limits."

Paul's eyes were filled with fear. The sad problem remained that anyone who could control energy into controllable form had a strong will. But that could not be said about normal humans.

Paul sighed in sadness and asked, "What do you want? The war has started and we cannot stop."

Bob sat back with a chuckle and said, "This is not a war. This is nothing more than a village fight without any proper weapons, proper fighters and even idea about what you want. Do you plan to slaughter the other side before stopping your foolishness. Or will you only stop when Alexander is assassinated by you. You should know that if he dies even through an accident, you will be suspected and you might even be sent off to jail. So what is that you want. You should have extended the fight and expanded it into a problem to be noticed by the central government with some demand, right? So what is that you want."

Paul said, "Alexander should stay away from my niece and should also pay for the harm caused to me."

Bob shook his head and said, "If you want to fight, then fight. You cannot simply blame one side and since both of you fought, I cannot ask one side to pay for the injuries caused while other just accepts it. As for you niece, unless she does not like Alexander, as long as she likes Alexander, nobody can stop her from marrying her. It would have been much better if she had just filed a case asking for police intervention to let her marry whom she loves."

Paul got angry and shouted, "You do not know anything at all. You only care about ideas such as democracy and freedom. He is nothing more than a bastard without any family. He is an orphan. Who will support her when she marries him? He does not do any kind of job and does not have any future. This is the reason why she has not run away with him as she knows that she needs her family's support to live happily with her love."

Bob asked, "Then fight."

Paul sighed and said, "The fight was nothing more than a simple push here and there accompanied by roars. But once we fought and the villagers joined in the fight, it left our control. We cannot stop the fight and has to fight them properly as both sides have now developed large animosity."

Bob smiled and said, "For the villagers, you just need to stop the fight by announcing that the police is going to hit you hard if you do not stop. As for Alexander, you can simply get him a job or some land to farm."

Paul asked, "Why should I?"

Bob smiled and said, "If the problem was a real problem, I would have done something extraordinary to take care of you. But you fought for unnecessary reasons. You are not stopping it for unnecessary reasons. So you should give me a reason to not arrest you."

Paul asked in doubt, "Which reason is good enough to not get us all arrested?"

Bob smiled and said, "Usually the ones involving a group harming each other. But if someone of the group complains against anyone, we have to arrest them. It is lucky that all of you are partially literate and loyal to your own idea of village unity."

He then smiled at Paul and said, "Here is what is going to happen, I happen to have a special medicine that can treat your body and let it be completely healthy without needing to add a rod to your leg. As for expecting anything from us to be given to you, that will not happen as you are the one with sins. As for Alexander, ask him to pay the fine to me as I had used the special medicine to treat you. This can be used to announce that your side had won. As for Alexander, since your sister likes him, help him pay for the money "

Paul shook his head. Bob smiled and said, "The fight has to stop in one manner or another. Both your sides are wrong. So I nor any other official shall favour either side. So be ready to pay unless you are willing to suddenly stop the fight."

Bob then stood up and turned and left giving Paul some more days to think.
