*Maya's POV*
After finishing my chores, I sat down to study for my exam. Aisha joined me, still rubbing the sleep from her eyes. "Morning," she mumbled, plopping down beside me.
"Good morning," I replied, smiling. "You'd better get studying. Your math test is today, right?"
Aisha groaned. "Don't remind me. I'm going to fail for sure."
I chuckled. "You'll do fine. Just review the notes, and you'll be okay."
Aisha leaned against me, and we studied together in comfortable silence. Mother brought us breakfast, and we ate while reviewing our notes.
As we finished up, Mother handed us each a small packet. "I made you lunch for school today," she said, smiling.
Aisha's eyes lit up. "Thanks, Mother!"
I smiled, feeling grateful for our mother's thoughtfulness. We packed our bags and headed out the door, ready to face the day.
*Aisha's POV*
As we walked to school, Maya quizzed me on my math formulas. I stumbled over a few, but she patiently explained them again. I felt a bit more confident, but I still worried about the test.
When we arrived at school, I saw my friends gathered near the entrance. We chatted and laughed, trying to distract ourselves from the impending test. Maya gave me a reassuring smile before heading off to her own class.
I took a deep breath and walked into my classroom, trying to calm my nerves. The teacher handed out the test papers, and I scanned the questions, feeling a mix of anxiety and determination.
*Fatima's POV*
As I headed to work, I couldn't help but think about my girls. They were growing up so fast, and I was proud of the people they were becoming. Maya was responsible and caring, while Aisha was lively and creative.
I hoped that I'd get the promotion at work, not just for the financial benefits but also for the sense of accomplishment it would bring. I knew that my girls looked up to me, and I wanted to be a good role model for them.
When I arrived at the office, I felt a sense of calm wash over me. I loved my job, and I was good at it. I took a deep breath, preparing myself for the meeting ahead.
