Some of the other chosen were starting to wake up.confusion painted on their faces.
Karze remained seated with Evae resting her head on his shoulder...his focus was on the truck's door...

He could feel it... a chilling presence that lacked outside the truck...and it was getting closer and faster....

His thoughts were cut short by the sound Evae waking up.
he turned,his eyes bright and his smile warm.
"Morning sleepy head"
Sitting up..she yawned,her hands tiredly rubbing her eyes...she looked at him...eyes still sleepy and tired but still lively as usual...she responded.
"Huh...morning ?...how do you know it's morning ?"
"I don't know...I just said it because it's what people say after someone wakes up isn t it."

She paused...pondering whether to continue.

She decided to hold on to her words...may be for another day...or maybe never.
The others were all on their feet...all eyes on the armored door as though waiting to jump out.
The truck was drowning with suspense...each second felt like an eternity...the doors were already open and only needed a push. but no one dared to attempt it...it's like their instincts were holding them in place.
Some thing was outside the door..it's presence enough to activate everyone's instincts....that if they stepped out of the truck...they were all going to due.
"Karze whats going on...?"
She asked,worry in her soft voice.
He turned to her...his smile calming her...
"Its nothing really...just think of it as the entrance exam...something like that."

She said with a questioned look on her face.
He had made the conclusion the moment the truck stopped...for a place like the Pyrax academy...weakness was not an option....so to them,putting a rat among cats wouldn't make it one...that's what they were doing...they were going to fish out the rats amongst the cats...
He slowly got to his feet and Evae did the same...I need you to hold onto something.
She looked around and tanned onto a piece of the trucks wall...He also put his fingers into the spaces in the trucks metal wall.
He looked at her...a smirk on his face and excitement burning in his eyes...He was about to do something crazy...and she knew it.
"What's the craziest ride you've ever been on...?"
He asked....her confusion rising like a blocked river...
"Um..ride...crazy....
Karze...I've Never been on any crazy ride before"
Karze stared for awhile trying to remember.."oh..that's right...well guess what ?...me neither.?
He added..his eyes locked in the doors like a predator stalking his prey...He could feel it...only moments away from finding them...
"Um..should we warn the others...what if something happens to them."
She suggested...her voice full of worry and concern....
He looked at her for awhile contemplating her idea...

But just as he was about to warn them...Someone else yelled..
"EVERYONE HOLD ON TO SOMETHING...HURRY !"
"Guess there's someone smart amongst these fools after all."
Already scared...no-one dared to question his warning...they all quickly ran to the walls of the truck and held on for dear life...
Right after his warning...there truck shook asthough being hit by a small earthquake....but it was no quarks...they were footprints...massibe ones at that...and they were headed towards them.
With now where to run..they were now just sitting ducks awaiting their death...they grew lower and louder as the death itself was charging at them....
Their hearts clenched and their souls cracked...before they could brace for impact..the truck was hit with the force of a speeding train...
And in The next moment...the truck was devoured by darkness and drowned in screams of agony...tearing flesh and breaking bones....
The cleanser had arrived....
