Chapter 6

Alessio Giordano

I was shocked to see her in the warehouse. My men and I went there beforehand to wait for Alpha Dmitri's spy since we got the news that he would send his spy to that location at exactly that time.

The lady I'd slept with the previous night showed up as my enemy's spy the next day. I wondered if she was sent to me that night to take me to bed. If this was all Dmitri's plan.

She sat still as the car moved. Still and avoiding my gaze.

If Alpha Dmitri thinks I'd take it lightly with her because I had a one-night stand with her then he should brace himself.

We got to the pack and the car came to a halt. I got out of the car.

"Clean her up and bring her to me," I instructed the guards who pulled her out of the car. Then I proceeded to my chamber.

"The spy is a woman?" Dante asked as soon as he saw me walking in. I nodded.

"No way... Alpha Dmitri has gotten creative since the last time bringing a woman as a spy." He laughed but nothing was funny to me. Not the fact that I'd slept with her or the fact that she turned out to be the spy we'd been looking for.

"It doesn't matter. I'll make her regret becoming a spy." I whispered loud enough for Dante to hear me.

"Take it easy Alpha, don't let the beast take control." I ignored him and walked into my chambers. There I met Nana cleaning my room.

"You're back already. Did you get the spy?" She asked, her voice weak from aging. She was the only person I listened to. After Dante of course.

She took care of me right from when I was a baby, she earned my father, the late Alpha's trust and wasn't regarded as a maid anymore.

"Yes. I want you to help me clean her up and bring her to me Nana, I need to ask her some questions." I forced a smile, even though she could see through it.

"Don't let the beast take control of you Alessio, please." I shook my head and held her hands.

"It won't. I'm sure." She nodded before leaving reluctantly.

I freshened up myself, hoping that the cold water cascading down my body would calm my mind but I couldn't get last night off my mind.

The possibility that all she did the previous night was a part of their big plan to get me to have a soft spot for her knowing that I was onto the spy.

"What game are you playing Dmitri?" I muttered, gritting my teeth.

After my shower, I left my room, there was an unfinished business left I needed to sort out.

I got to the underground cell where one of Alpha Dmitri's men was kept after we caught onto him. He was the one who gave us the details about the spy the first time but we missed the first time.

Dante was able to track the spy and we found out her next location. Now, I did not need him anymore.

"Let me go! I already told you what I know..." he cried, his voice quivering. And I could taste his fear.

His eyes were swollen and purple and his mouth wasn't left out. His face was a mess. He has been tortured by my men and he was barely seeing me.

"Are you sure that is all you know?" I asked with a smirk, closing the distance.

"We found the spy, but it's a female. Do you know anything about that?"

He whimpered in fear.

"I -- I don't know. Alpha Dmitri might've used anyone he wanted to use. I told you everything. Please let me go now." He pleaded, his fear increased by the second.

I leaned close to him, searching his face for anything contrary to what he said but I saw none so I let out my claws and raised his jaw with my index finger.

"You've been helpful but I show no mercy to my enemies." Before he could respond, I slit his throat with my claws. He shook uncontrollably on the iron chair as his blood splattered across the cell, some stains on my clothes.

"Clean up the place," I instructed the cell guards who immediately went to work.

I walked back to my room and met Nana coming out of my room.

She stopped when she saw me and squinted.

"You... you killed him?..."

I sighed, she'd seen the blood splattered across my clothes and my hand.

"Nana, he deserved to die," I replied but she shook her head.

"You're letting it get to you again. He's the third person you've killed this week. The beast is hungry and it will not stop until it makes you hungry for blood again." I raised my face to the ceiling.

Everyone was going on and on about some damn beast, reminding me of my curse and it was beginning to upset me.

"I'm good Nana, the beast is under control. I have it under control." I replied to each word slowly as I tried to keep my emotions under control.

"Then get one of your men to interrogate her instead." She gestured towards my room and I knew she was referring to the female spy I brought back to the pack.

"And why did you bring her to your room?" She asked again, worry etched on her face.

"You worry too much. Take a break Nan, go rest for the rest of the day." I nudged at her and she reluctantly left after making me promise her that I wasn't going to hurt the female.

I walked into the room and saw the female by the corner of my room, seated on the floor, her knees pressed to her chest and her back pressed against the wall.

"Who are you?" I asked, walking in with calculated steps.

She stared me dead in the face, and the fear that was in her eyes at the warehouse disappeared. Her expression was blank like she wasn't scared of anything.

"I don't like repeating myself." I blurted, I curled my fingers into fists beside me.

"My name is Gianna." She replied, there was not a crack in her voice.

"Did you know it was me all along when you decided to sleep with me yesterday? Was this all part of the plan?" I asked, my gaze fixated on her, hoping to see even the slightest expression. But she kept an impassive expression.

Her nonchalant behavior made anger churn within me and I approached her with the speed that seemed to get her attention. She scanned me when I was close enough and saw the blood on my hand and clothes.

Only then did I see an iota of fear on her face?

I picked and rose her up by her neck and she struggled to get my hand off her.

"You dealt with the wrong person," I growled

"You are going to tell me everything Dmitri is plotting against me, if you don't know then I will take away your limb, then your fingers and arms until there's nothing left again and feed your body to the pigs," I whispered in her ear.

Her eyes widened and she struggled to speak but my grip on her throat was tight.

"Sir, you need to see this." One of my men interrupted, poking his head through the door.

It sounded urgent so I threw her to the floor and followed him out.

"This better be worth the distraction," I warned
